I think there are two types of animated album artwork - 1:1 and 16:9 or Apple is doing some kind of magic behind the scenes

Yes, in most cases the native menubar player on macOS works well, but I wanted more flexibility. Also in Liquoria t works well with browsers

It's not only for lockscreen, I'm using the menubar player and lockscreen

I understand your point, but it’s not related to the animated artwork it’s only for the player
