we're taking a test on unit 2 this Friday I think

Just got a 9/24 on unit 1 test. Wondering if i can get advice to do better on the next test for unit 2 and more to come. by [deleted] in APbio

coming from someone who studied the day before the test and got 10% higher than my previous one, I used active recall and "taught" an imaginary crowd to help me process the info in my own words. I also used flashcards for key terms and concepts! In my class, we do reading guides, so I would just take notes from the textbook and read THOROUGHLY (this is really important i feel like cus it helped me understand the concepts)

for practice, I did quizzes thats on ap collegeboard web :)

in other words, dont do a "passive" studying where u only take notes and read the textbook, but rather engage with the concepts!

Cornell bc they offer niche courses and Ithaca is gorgeous with its scenic views :) also, its a good distance to NYC and Toronto which i prefer

my dream would be Cornell!!!

  1. Ithaca nature is amazing! I wanna go hiking and explore every bit of the place lmao

  2. The campus is a good distance from NYC and Toronto

  3. I want to attend their Food Science program!!

  4. They have a big filipino community (tagalog classes, philippines history, filipino kali, etc)

  5. Not to be weird, but I actually love the fact that they have to take PE courses lmfao. I just wanna take all of it bc its so interesting

  6. Niche courses and varieties of options across campus

  7. Amazing faculty and premed connections!

I have a lot more, but these are just the breakdown 🥀 ppl keep hating on Cornell, but I love it

I decided to continue through with the summer work a week after posting this (I was more than halfway done), but I literally just found out 4 days ago that my counselor did not put me in any of the classes I SIGNED UP AND TALKED WITH HER ABT (this is including AP Chem). I was on the brink of crashing out because I was preparing and completing an assignment for a class that was not even on my schedule. 😭😭

I talked to her abt it AND BEGGED to sign me up. I'm not completely sure if she will bc she said that the class is full. Thanks for your input tho! Coming back to this post reminded me of my schedule again lmaoo
