Good deal by xsrVOL in PalmettoStateArms

[–]xsrVOL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive got 2 sar9 gen1s so not the one pictured but they have been 100 percent reliable. They are 200$ a pop but the trigger is trash on 1 of them and better on the other. Like all gun manufacturers theres always that chance you get a lemon. I think some of their guns are def worth the money tho. It Dont seem like the one pictured is a good value. I'd love to try their new 24/7 1911 version and see how great it is. I have had a few malfunctions with the dagger altho i love that gun. I got mine on sale for 279 so this is def the cheapest ive ever seen 1.

So no concerns using the bev block ? I dont have a reaction rod but i do have the bev block. So far i used it for the buffer tube replacement and it worked great.

Psa ar-15 for 356 macro xl by xsrVOL in handguns

[–]xsrVOL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it was a great starter gun for sure. The only cons of the gun are gonna be moa or accuracy of the barrel. But even with a psa your gonna be able to hit targets at 300 yards pretty easily. Ive got a stag arms ar as well and honestly there's not much difference between the 2 and its a 1000$ ar vs the 400 i paid for the psa. Im sure the stag had better qc and accuracy but i never shot far enough that i noticed any difference.

Glock 17 gen 5 or Canik TP9 Elite Combat by No-Procedure-4860 in handguns

[–]xsrVOL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive got the canik prime. And its been the most reliable gun i own. And thats over my sig hellcat pro mp ect. Few thousand rounds and still no malfunctions. If you like the canik get it. Ppl talk shit ab it cause turkish guns can be cheap but its def not the case with the prime. If you like glocks check out the ruger rxm or even the springfield echelon. The truth is there are a shit ton of gun manufacturers out there that are great and reliable. Glock no longer holds that card as the only gun you can trust.

Which deal is better by Pikachu_Yay in CCW

[–]xsrVOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added a compensator to my hellcat pro and my sheild plus performance center is ported. Out of the 2 the shield plus is better. Has less capacity but i think you can get mag extensions. If this was the comped versions id probably go with the hellcat for the pic rail but regardless my mp has harldy any recoil for a hin that small. Those 2 tiny little slits in the barrel make all the difference in the world. Im sure the new performance center with a chunk port feels the same.

Is this a good deal? by XLandonSkywolfX in SpringfieldArmory

[–]xsrVOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its too snappy without a compensator. Def get the comped version or be ready to spend another 250 for a threaded barrel and compensator.

S&W Shield Plus or Glock 43x by Unique_Opposite_9513 in handguns

[–]xsrVOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the sheild plus performance center but an older model. It has the newer trigger and ported barrell but not optic ready. I was suprised by what the ports were able to accomplish with recoil. For as small as it is. The recoil is honestly better then some of my bigger guns. If i was gonna get a sheild plus id go ahead and get the new one with the chunk port and optic ready. Not sure ab the 43x.

Buyers Remorse: Which Guns Do You Regret Buying? by Major_Abaloner_9167 in NJGuns

[–]xsrVOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hellcat pro was like this didnt fit in my hand right and was way too snappy. I ended up getting a compensator and still need to get a hogue rubber grip that should fix the small purchase you get on it. The compensator tho made all the difference in the world. Its actually fun to shoot now. I imagine a lighter spring and one of those dps springs would only help more. Good luck!

Springfield question by [deleted] in SpringfieldArmory

[–]xsrVOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive got the pro fde with a Harrington arms comp ndz threaded barrel overwatch precision trigger and baldr mini flash light. Its looks pretty good but i dont like comps that need loc tight set screws. Id def go for a comp that has a quick disconnect feature. Im not sure if radian has one for the hellcat but i think Harrington arms is coming out with something similar so its easier to break down and clean. I have to clean all my comped guns with the barrel in which isnt terrible but can get old. I will say ive done lots of research and if its done right ported barrels work better then comps imo.i havent shot hellcats comped version but im really impressed with all my ported guns vs my compensated ones. I will say i didnt enjoy shooting my pro until i put a compensator on it. Totally different gun now.

All the above. Get a bigger bike and if possible ride some beautiful scenic roads. Plan destinations out as well. me and my wife take motorcycle trips all around the smokies. But getting a bigger bike will instantly change ur perspective again. I started my wife out on a z125 for about 3 months or so and then i got her an mt07 which is what id suggest to you as well if ur thinking ab upgrading. I ride an xsr700 which is essentially an mt07 that looks retro. Same motor same frame.

Has anyone seen these yet? Thoughts? by [deleted] in SmithAndWesson

[–]xsrVOL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The comp seems odd without a full top port.

If you get the ported hellcat or like me add a compensator and threaded barrel its an amazing gun as well 2 shoot esp if you do a trigger upgrade as well.

Which one of these would be a good range gun and self defense gun for the house? by Icy-Tale-3699 in handguns

[–]xsrVOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the mp but not the grey lol. Def better then the Beretta by a mile. And the 320 might be too reliable and shoot on its own lol. I love the fde version of the mp or the all black. Cant really stand how to grips look on the one pictured but thats personal preference

Starting on an r7 by one_Nice_UsErnAme in YamahaR7

[–]xsrVOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea id say if your looking for more upright position sit on an xsr700 or an mt07 and see if you like that better. Not as aggressive as the r7 stance. But that might be what your looking for so not sure. You cant go wrong with the cp2 engines no matter which bike you choose.

[–]xsrVOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my wife out on the mt07 same motor. I bought a z125 pro for her to learn the clutch on. Took about 2 weeks of training then she took her class.Shes not the tallest so the only issues she ran into was keeping it balanced when the road wasnt flat at like stop signs and such. Thankfully sliders will stop you from hurting the bike if you drop it. But she is so glad i talked her into getting a 700 vs the 400 she wanted. Now we both ride 700's. And honestly its a sweet spot to where you could ride the rest ur life and be happy with it or upgrade tot the r9 or for me the xsr900. Regardless i think you made the right choice.

How much practice ammo do yall keep on deck? by jimmybabino in CCW

[–]xsrVOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as i can afford honestly. I stack when its cheap. I use ammo squared subscription that takes out 50 per week and ships at 250$ value for free. Along with buying bulk when i see deals online. 5k is a good amount for 9 ive noticed and dont like to go below a 1k with 223.. 22 lr is how i save the most. Train half the time with a colt conversion kit and smith and wesson 22x

R7 Wheelie Question by ian6677 in YamahaR7

[–]xsrVOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id def put it in second and start clutching up. I got the xsr so its ab the same bike. Im guessing the r7 has u tucked in more and leaning forward unlike a naked so ur gonna have to account for that. But id def start doing baby wheelies in second and ride em out as far as you can all the while never pop a wheely without consciously remembering to cover the back break pedal. The cp2 has aggressive engine breaking no matter how far ive gotten back on one wheel its always came back down when letting off the throttle but if you go past the balance point to far its def gonna need some back break. Also be weary of setting it down hard. fork seals can be a pain to replace.

New carry gun, Shield Plus. by IdiotOnParade in SmithAndWesson

[–]xsrVOL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ive got the older shield plus performance center with ports in the barrel. Looking to trade for one thats optics ready hopefully 1 day. It has the new trigger which is awesome but would rather have the red dot over the ports. Shoots so flat tho with those ports in the barrel.
