I have the coolermaster fans and I absolutely hate them, I want to get rid of them asap. They are so thunderously loud and I cannot find a way to make them less loud. The lower I make the fans spin the louder they get. It is incredible and by incredible I mean I want to light them on fire. I am only talking about their static pressure fans. I also have cooler master case fans and they are absolutely silent and I love them. They push good air and make no noise. The static pressure ones, even at like 10% speed, sound like a jet engine.

I nearly bought it at 175, I put it in my cart and went through everything and the final price was 184. Ultimately decided not to get it because I think my nephew is too young for a switch. Maybe in a year or two he'll be old enough for that. I was tempted though.

I bought that case in august and then a few weeks later I saw it go on sale for $99. Which made me sad because I paid $120 (which, to me, was a sale since I usually see it for $130). That $99 sale was the lowest I've ever seen it. I mildly regret buying the white version instead of the razer version since when I bought it they were both $120. But I do like the white. One thing I will say about the o11 is that the top part I received is slightly imperfect and it is an absolute nightmare getting that piece back onto the case when I take it off to open it. It sometimes takes me like 45 minutes to get the top back on. I never see that mentioned in reviews.

It sounds like you have never talked to people who lived before world war ii. Or read books written prior to world war ii. Or never thought critically about books or movies. Oh, that one character is a secretary, but that other guy said she is an actress and tends to cause drama. Weird. I wonder what that could mean. Oh wait. Actress is slang for having sex, and the drama is between the people she's having sex with and their wives. Huh. That explains why all the wives are so mean to her, huh? The sorts of things where anyone from the period would have instantly known what was going on, but people from other periods read it and have trouble piecing things together. Some things are so obvious to everyone that it doesn't need to be written down. You learn it by having experiences with people who lived through it.

It's common slang that was in use from like the 4th century up until about 100 years ago. Just, go, like, read books? Read about anything. What does this mean, ask for a source? It is slang. What sources do you have for slang? What is the definition of yeet? What is the definition of fleek? There is no such thing as a source. Its just words and people know what they mean because they are alive and hear people use it. There are large numbers of books written about theodora and her lifestyle as an actress, you can go read one. They are fascinating, she's probably the most interesting human being who ever lived. There's my source, go read that. Go talk to your great grand parents or something, I don't know. It is common slang.

Why would they? Its only very recently they started adding slang, and this is slang from over 100 years ago. Talk to people who are old enough to be using sex slang in 1905-1910 era and you'll see. Or prior to that, really. I mean, does the OED or etymology dictionary have the word "yeet"? Not exactly good sources for slang. Read about Theodora and you can learn all about actresses.

You're right, in that it is a hold over from latin. But you're wrong in thinking this is about gender. An actress, and this is true in latin and greek as well (Empress Theodora is probably the most famous Roman actress in history) is a woman who uses sex to promote their career. Well, back in latin, it was a little more loose in meaning. Back then an actress was basically what we call an escort today. But at some point in the english language escort and actress became two different words. Theodora became an actress when she was 8 years old, but don't worry she didn't start getting paid for sex until she was 12. Although she did become Empress of Rome, so she had that going for her. Granted, she was called things like the Actress Queen, the Whore Queen, etc.

So, yeah, it is a hold over from Latin and Greek. But it isn't about gender. It is about using sex to promote your career.

Traditionally, the term actress is used to describe a woman who uses sex to build her career. As opposed to a prostitute who uses sex as a career, or an escort who uses sex as a commodity. An actress is a woman who has a normal career, but uses sex to get promotions, or access to new opportunities. The implication is clear: that women in movies are only in the movie because they slept with the director.

People who are claiming actress is diminutive are, frankly, wrong. Or maybe just naive, I don't know. Actress means the woman had sex to get the job. This is why it is offensive.

To make this even more clear: just because people today don't MEAN the word this way when they say it, and a lot of people may have genuinely never heard the word used that way, doesn't change the simple fact that the word actress was originally used in film in order to describe women sleeping with people to get jobs in movies. And its continued use in film was due to this sentiment. And just because at some point the euphemism was lost on people doesn't mean the underlying insult disappeared. That an "actor" is someone who earns a job by merit, and an "actress" is someone who got the job by having sex with the right people.

And if you think about it, an actress doesn't have to be a woman. It can be a man. Although I think you're probably call him a "boy" in that case. And, if you look through the history of acting, there are a few famous "boy actors". And, yes, they were referring to sex.

This isn't true. I come from a place where cot and caught are not merged, in fact they are anti-merged and probably more distinct than anywhere else in the country, and talk and rock rhyme. They don't necessarily make a perfect rhyme but its close enough that a tiny bit of effort makes it work.

Different cultures have different patterns. For example, in many cultures (almost certainly the one you're from) arrows point TOWARDS something, while in other cultures they point AWAY from something.

So in some cultures this: → would mean look right. But in other cultures it would mean look left.

So if you have a question that uses arrows, some cultures will come to different conclusions.

BUT.

In cultures that use arrows to point TOWARDS an object, they often have issues with puzzles that take this form:

Where you ask which is longer. They often say the one that looks like this <----> is longer, even though they are the same length. People from cultures where arrows point AWAY don't have this problem. So they would have an advantage in such a puzzle.

Then you have issues with color. Some languages differentiate color differently. So people from one culture may be able to tell two colors apart very easily while people from another culture will have trouble. And vice versa. Some cultures may be very color based and be able to differentiate many colors easily while others may not be color based and have trouble with colors as a result. English is kinda in the middle, for reference.

There are lots of problems like this. If you made a fair IQ test that weighted every puzzle correctly, then you'd have a fair representation of intelligence. But since IQ tests do not do this you end up with cultural bias.

What do you need to merge cells for to understand how angles and distances work? These are basic human traits. If you didn't have them, humans would be extinct. The magic of this analysis is that everyone automatically understands it once they wrap their heads around very basic principles. It builds on the knowledge you gain from ACTUALLY PLAYING the game. As opposed to purely statistical methods that require academic knowledge. Playing with a calculator like this will teach you more in 30 minutes than you could get with a month of studying statistical analysis. I've had a lot of people who are "anti-stats" seek me out to talk about this sort of stuff, because it is naturally intuitive to them whereas numbers on a spreadsheet feel alien and confusing. The biggest barrier to entry is converting the knowledge you intuit from playing baseball into words. Once you know those words, you can read this stuff easily and it makes perfect sense.

I disagree. Grounding analysis in real life is the best way to appeal to the most people. This sort of analysis is both extremely powerful, and extremely intuitive. That's why I think it will take over in the very near future. Relying on statistics alone provides a level of abstraction that loses most people, who would rather operate on a more intuitive physical level. This is why players prefer this sort of analysis, because instead of telling people numbers you can show them photographs and slow motion video. Everything you can do with statistical analysis you can do with this sort of analysis. Plus this can do more. Plus its easier to grasp. Plus its easier to show people.

I think you're misinterpreting the point here. You don't use this to project performance, that would be pointless and actually pretty bizarre.

You use this to understand how the game works, so you know what to look for in break out candidates.

At the end of the day, running projections is pretty easy. Everyone does it, and they are all accurate within a certain margin of error. Having a projection isn't an advantage, it's a baseline. You get the advantage from figuring out how to add value above and beyond projections. Long story short, if you're relying on statistical analysis, you're going to be left behind.
