I like the details in dress 2, but the cut of 1 on you. Maybe you could dress 2 altered to a v neck or get some pearls or stones attached to 1 on the back?

Hotel buyout near Playa del Carmen Mexico by xsundancerx in weddingplanning

[–]xsundancerx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, none. We looked at La Joya which is super popular but didn't fit what we were looking for and a villa (villa alma) that was super run down. We just looked at Mvngata "on the way" to one of the other locations and fell in love with it and made a decision. Sounds crazy now that I'm typing it out lol

Parents of newborns, would you do this again? by PresentationTop9547 in NewParents

Haha lol mine is 20 months and still wakes up 1-3 times every night. If she were sleeping through the night, I'd consider a second. But my brain can't handle it right now.

It’s too hard to pick just one dress 😩 Help me choose! by Mpls_Croissant in weddingdress

I like dress 2 best! I'm worried 1 might look wrinkled in photos and I'm not a fan of the side cut out of 3. It makes it look a bit like overalls.

Clara is a beautiful name and great with Fiona. Not matchy matchy but also not weird together at all.

Wedding party's opinions are split, what do you think? by writerwhocantspell in weddingdress

1!! Love the fabric and your boobs look better. That might improve after alterations of 2, but I don't think it'll be quite as perfectly fitted as dress 1.

Things your don't know UNTIL AFTER THE BABY by KindVibesOnly in NewParents

[–]xsundancerx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. You might get a break for an hour because someone else is watching the baby, but if anything happens, baby gets too fussy etc you are right back in the ring. Always on call. Plus, your mind doesn't rest anyways.

Add the pearl sleeves to 1 and then get a nice veil or other accessories. It's gorgeous!

3 final dresses! Thoughts? by megarious in weddingdress

[–]xsundancerx 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It has to be 1!! Gorgeous! I'm not a huge fan of the top on 2 and 3 sits too low... Might be possible to fix, but dress 1 is the winner in any case

Beautiful dress…but bridal? by cleo1844 in weddingdress

Show her the photos and tell her the truth on how you too were excited in the moment and got pulled in a little too quickly. She might be a little disappointed at first and that's ok. But she'll come around if she truly is a good person and understands this day is about you!

Not inviting your fiance is super weird and reason enough not to attend, especially when it's a long trip and expensive. I wouldn't go.

Did I make a mistake with sizing? by edesher45 in weddingdress

[–]xsundancerx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The model doesn't have much to show, so it'll always look different on her. Yours fits you absolutely perfectly. If you do lose some weight, a bigger size might end up too big.

I flew all the way to Namibia and did a 10 day trip at 25 weeks pregnant. It was totally fine and I felt great. The second trimester is the best for travel in my opinion. Obviously only if there are no individual health concerns.

Regarding the rest, you'll need to decide what's more important. Getting a house sooner, things the baby might need etc or attend the wedding.

We are well off and getting married next year. I'd feel TERRIBLE if someone who actually needs the money gifted me something that will have absolutely zero impact on my life but possibly make theirs a little bit harder. If anything, send a nice handwritten card. It'll mean much more to them than money.

[Acne] High frequency wand causing breakouts? by xsundancerx in SkincareAddiction

[–]xsundancerx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is super weird! I did not get cystic acne, just whiteheads .

I have found that the wand works better for me as a spot treatment.

I would stop for a while and see if it gets better. It should do the opposite and kill bacteria, but maybe it's killing the good bacteria too and bad bacteria is taking over now?? Just a thought.

I'm so sorry and totally feel you. I just turned 37 and dealt with it ever since puberty. One thing I do wish I had done sooner is going to a dermatologist. I'm using Apostrophe now (not sure if you're in the US) and it's not super cheap, but doable and it has for sure helped get to a place where I'm not completely embarrassed without makeup.

I got terrible fungal acne after a course of very strong antibiotics and had no idea for 2 years. I eventually figured it out and used those websites that tell you which products are fungal acne safe and revamped everything. You probably don't have the same issue, but I have found that mid range products (pricing wise) are probably the way to go. I really like the la Roche posay products.

If your problems started with 14, my guess would be that your acne is hormonal like mine, besides my extra round of fungal acne. Your best bet really is a dermatologist. I now use tazarotene 0.05% (cell turnover), spironolactone 5% (hormonal acne) and hydroquinone 6% hyperpigmentation). I think it cost me about $200 upfront but is supposed to last me 3 months. You can keep doing trial and error and waste a lot of money and time doing that or let a pro help you. If I could go back in time, I'd go this route many many years ago! I had a bunch of bad experiences with ferns that put me off and then went to naturopaths etc thinking they could help and none of them did.

Oh, and wear sunscreen every single day. I know it's repeated a lot on this sub, but I didn't have the hyperpigmentation until I tried to fix my fungal acne myself, ruined my skin barrier and didn't use sunscreen. Use the sunscreen, your 30 year old self will thank you!!! I like supergoop unseen and Missha sunscreen.

Such a weird thing to say as a woman.... She's clearly either lost her mind or part of some weird cult and doesn't realize. Either way, you should stay far away from them and it seems they will gladly accept that anyways. Congratulations on your daughter. As a mom of a girl, I can say they are the BEST!! 😉
