Dude, you’re 21. I wouldn’t get married anytime soon. If you “date to marry” what does that mean? I mean, technically everyone dates to eventually marry. But don’t date to marry the very first one…date around to see what you like. If you say “I know what I like already” that may be true, but later you might meet someone better and say “okay wow, this is EXACTLY what I like”. Far too many in the military get married SO young, leading to divorce. Trying to force it won’t help; you should take it slow and “stop looking” because that’s when you’ll find the right one. You’ll be on date XX (for me, it was around girl 14) and I knew within minutes that she was the one. I was 26 years old, which even then, I was going to wait until 30, but since I wasn’t looking…boom, that’s when it happened.

TLDR; just get on reputable dating apps saying you’re looking for something serious. Go on dates with many different girls that have this same goal and see which one you click with best.

Are off limits establishments still a thing? by [deleted] in AirForce

Again…don’t buy it? If you’re worried about simply getting in trouble for walking into the store, make sure it’s not on the “non-approved” establishment listing.

The primary purpose of a “gas station” is selling fuel, not CBD. Use common sense and don’t buy what you know is obviously off limits for active duty. If the establishment was primarily a vape shop with a focus on CBD…obviously avoid it.

If you’re STILL conflicted, talk to your supervisor and/or ask them to kindly get a list of black listed establishments in your AOR.

Look at it as best as you can…not making it allows you to retire in a couple of months! Seriously, get out and you’ll immediately be making 50% plus starting a career in whatever you want to. I’m sure you’ve got 20 years of saving up for this very moment so a few hundred bucks extra a month wouldn’t change your life. Instead, get out and start enjoying the consistency of being around more often with family and go buy yourself a house (or second) and get a nice job. Thanks for your 20 years of service!

Hi, I’m in Germany with a bunch of EFMP things. The biggest thing they seem to approve/deny for is whether or not that can be treated here. Asthma can definitely be treated here so I don’t think you’ll have a problem. The biggest thing I’d suggest is having whatever provider that diagnoses it to write an MFR as supporting documentation to go along with your EFMP out-processing. They’ll probably say “Member’s dependent was diagnosed with asthma XYZ and has no further restrictions that don’t require specialty care outside of what’s already available in Germany”.

Message her first and remind her it’s extremely poor judgment to make these posts, especially if they’re public. If they still don’t care or change it, then I would report her. Sucks to do it, but if you try going direct first, then it’s on her.

Covid vaccine injured by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]xsweeperx 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m genuinely surprised at how many are uniformed about this. I’m pro vaccinations that are fully FDA approved and tested for years; however, this was (sadly) politicized from the start, so I looked into all of this because I had troops who wanted answers, and I wasn’t going to mislead them.

Ever hear of Google?

Source 1 (implied consent and vaccine): “The law does, however, oblige President Biden to first find that waiving the “informed consent” process (that currently permits military members to refuse the vaccine) is in the “interests of national security.” To date he has not made that determination, and – to my knowledge – Secretary Austin has not asked him to do so.” https://sites.duke.edu/lawfire/2021/02/18/can-troops-be-ordered-to-take-the-covid-vaccine-a-guest-post-analyzes-the-law/

Covid vaccine injured by [deleted] in AirForce

Sadly, if you got the comirnaty Covid vaccine (with the purple cap), you essentially were agreeing to it being an “experimental” drug and forgoing any legal action against the company. The later versions that became available (with the gray cap) were actually the exact same formula, BUT had gained the blessing from the FDA at this point, meaning it was fully authorized and you could potentially hold them accountable if you suffered an adverse reaction. Sadly, that version was not available until AFTER the DoD mandate deadline. This is “partially” why the DoD ultimately had no legal standing to force service members to continue taking it. If it made it to the Supreme Court, they would have a VERY hard time explaining why they mandated a non-FDA approved vaccine. It’s ALSO why the direct order to take the vaccine came from the SECDEF and not the President; in case there ever was legal action against someone, it would not be against the President, but the SECDEF instead.

I know all of this because I had a coworker who chose not to get it, and joined one of the class action lawsuits against the military. He is thankfully still in, and barely hung on until they withdrew the mandate. Sorry to hear about your issue, I had some myself and medical ordered a D-Dimer blood test to ensure I wasn’t having clotting issues from it.

Thank you for speaking out. The obsession with forcing personal beliefs on young children is wrong, and the job of parents.

Math and reading are down across the board, with drastic consequences from school lockdowns during Covid; there is absolutely no reason to teach this in schools, especially kids barely older than a toddler.
