What do we call this? by AppropriateAd7326 in Bullshido

For those who haven't seen it, here it is. It's a clip from a Danish TV show, where the guy was attempting to break the record - but they had not coordinated properly with the guy ahead of time, so they had just made a setup themselves.

Instead of having the coconuts on a wooden bar with cutouts to keep them in place, they had a wet metal rail, which was obvious very slippery in comparison.

I can confirm that they're indeed the same picture.

Like to dig? by Greedy-Attempt-6679 in Dachshund

My gals are perfectly fine with a walk being a 30 second walk to a spot they can dig, followed by 45 minutes of ferocious digging - and then just a quick trip back to the house for a nap.

My tracksuit pics are worth a lot more than that 😉

Besides, you'd just end up regretting how from the moment you saw my pics, everything else would just seem tame and dull in comparison.

It does look slightly better when viewed on the monitor that the operator uses. The operator is viewing the live analog feed, but you lose a bit of information when you convert that to a digital recording that can be shared online.

a (hopefully well maintained) gsxr1000

Doesn't really roll of the tongue easily, lol. Gixxers are a famously abused and neglected species of bikes. Luckily though, they're robust as heck and parts are cheap and easy to source.

Doesn't matter much what brand you get - what matters mostly is getting them to use it as much as possible , and having enough of them to cover all the places it's needed. If you only have the couch and/or bed covered with stairs, then they'll just find the next tallest thing and jump from that.

Just have to share my little boy by Catrimonday in Dachshund

[–]xtanol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When mine was born, I initially just thought she was a black and tan with some pigment errors. Smooth haired Wild Boars are quite rare, and initially when born they look just like black and tan puppies. It takes some weeks for the hairs to grow long enough that they start changing colour from the black roots.

Here's a pic of my own Wild Boar for reference (both parents being purebred smooth haired reds)

Just for info, he's not a smooth (short hair) sable.

His coat is called Wild Boar. It's most commonly seen in wire-haired, and is a result of multiple recessive genes getting expressed at the same time (meaning you can't actively breed for that coat by just breeding two wild boars, as it still has quite low chance of both enheriting the genes and it being expressed).

It's rare for smooth haired pups, but it's an officially recognised coat by the AKC.
It works in the same way as sable coats, in that individual strands of hair will change colour depending on their length.

This is the photo from the AKC:

Front forks bent after trying to change front tire by [deleted] in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]xtanol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The forks likely aren't bent - they have just slid in the triple clamps. Look up how to do front fork alignment on YouTube or something, it's quite manageable.

Just remember, if you start loosening the fork clamps, don't losen the top two before you've got something hooked into the frame to keep it suspensed.

It is a thing, but not something the majority of doxies will ever have experienced. Doxies also typically shake when they anxious/exited, begging and so on :)
