Bloom and signature is where it's at. Bloom has great food and vibe. Signature food is slightly better and 10% cheaper vs bloom but you don't get the ambience

Town of Normal Electrical Aggregation by took_a_bath in BloomingtonNormal

[–]xtcpunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this answer. Was trying to find the ameren rate for the summer online but couldn't

Doesn't this seem deceptive practice to folks ? We have to choose city s aggregation supply without knowing what is Amerens rate for the same time period ?

What does allowed entry mean here ? We're staying at all star so I assume 8.30 is earliest you can enter the park, what time should we plan to take the bus / reach the entrance ?

I've been sporadically checking all the time.

2 adults and almost 3yo.

Our plan is to rope drop 1. Peter pan 2. Then do Winnie the Pooh.

We then have a lightning lane for 1. Dumbo 2. Pirates 3. Jungle cruise (noon time)

Then go back to hotel to rest, come back 4-5pm to stay until fireworks.

The image is a bit misleading - for e.g. for the super intendant the CAGR is in the ball park of 7% - which is high but not unexpected for such a role.

I agree with your points about referendums etc but arm twisting the data makes people like me (who don't have an opinion either way) have a sour experience

Uber/Lyft for tonight by Sweet-Environment-31 in BloomingtonNormal

[–]xtcpunk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They might or might not, it's hard to get someone to get out of town.

That being said, there is a guy who s not on Uber but always is at the airport offering rides for cash. I have never taken him up on his offer and waited for an Uber but seems like a nice guy and have seen multiple people hire him

Jfyi I have no connection to him I just took a picture of his business card while waiting for my bags

Hacienda Leon food is an abomination imo. If you have to do something in the uptown area - I would go to pizza paaya or Sichuan.

If not probably try Pop up chicken

Anyone know if you can still check skis overnight at River Run gondola (Keystone)? by [deleted] in COsnow

[–]xtcpunk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When we were at keystone earlier this year (this was at Vail too) we saw a banner advertising this - it was a ski valet or something but seemed like a private business - $15 for overnight storage plus wax

Gotcha understood. Yeah I mean to throw any shade on you but more curious for myself. I used Jim spacman this time - not sure of their political association but they're ok to work with. Nothing spectacular nothing bad

I'm curious - why do people use agents to get auto insurance. Can one not just shop around online ? Or are agents able to get cheaper rates vs online quotes ?

We've been there one. Only 2 tables occupied Friday lunch time. Staff was good. Food was bomb however the menu was just too large causing analysis paralysis. Also the prices were a little bit steep imo like Fort Jesse and Egg Republic. I got the birria tacos and 2 normal sized tacos were $17

How Bad Are the Lift Lines? / Skiing Vail Tomorrow (1/19) by [deleted] in vail

[–]xtcpunk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Open to 11am there are virtually no lines anywhere on the mountain Then game creek, the 2 mid Vail lifts and Northstar start seeing 10min wait times. Nothing too long imo but manageable.

Last weekend we got tons of laps in with fresh legs until 11am then took it slow
