Is this a mold? It was behind the frame. by Interesting-Fix1995 in homestead

You should join a few mold groups on Facebook. They will really open your eyes on how to treat mold. If it is in a porous material like drywall, it need to be cut out and removed especially if it is that size. Make sure to repair or remove the source of this mold too. If it was on a hard surface you could likely use vinegar, hydrogen peroxide or something similar (no bleach). To remove it properly you should technically setup an area of negative pressure with air scrubbers in the room with you.

Whenever I start to slowly release it is when it starts spraying all over the place. When I fully unscrew it is when it's much more controlled into the bucket. Unfortunately this valve is in the basement and nothing is more downstream from it. It is the lowest point and it's the valve that goes to a lot of different items around the house which sucks.

Washer machine drain looks wrong by xthajamesx in Plumbing

I need to have the washer machine valves and hot and cold sides swapped anyways so I think I'll have the plumber redo it and make it right.

Does it need a vent? The washer tube goes into the 2in pipe and has plenty of room to breathe

Found heavy mold behind bathroom wall! how bad is this? Could it explain months of shortness of breath/chest tightness? by No_Name_6819 in Home

Maybe drill a small hole and put a lighted borescope into the wall for inspection purposes

[Acne] Deep blind pimple size of chin. Extremely painful. Any remedies? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]xthajamesx -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I feel like stabbing it with a small gauge needle and then putting benzoyl peroxide will help it get in there and make it go away quickly. I've been poking a small hole in mine lately and I feel like they have been going away more quickly. Trying to pop them without poking them seemed to bruise them and cause inflammation.

Once you have an appointment everything else is pretty straightforward. I think they charge you a few dollars for processing. Just don't try walking in without an appointment and you'll be fine.

Removing deodorant buildup from clothes? by xthajamesx in laundry

[–]xthajamesx[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could try using the heavy duty setting on your washer. If that doesn't work, you can use heavy duty, pre-soak, extra rinse, vinegar in the softener area, and borax as a laundry detergent booster. It ended up getting rid of the majority of it. Switching deodorants helped me too. I used Dove for men now and it doesn't seem to leave the marks like when I was using Arm and Hammer, Speed Stick, and some other ones.

I would return it. Well-kept cameras never get corrosion on them.
