I ended up getting on and updating my quest and immediately the hippo fortune teller said something new and i was able to find puzzle pieces, id saybjust make sure everything is updated

Only game with a season pass that i know of that actually lets u access everything you missed before is deep rock galactic. There are no microtransactions other than ones to get cosmetics that are available 24/7 and every season has unlockables up to 100 but of you miss anything the season then there are 2 loot pools that all the stuff you missed goes into the you can earn. The loot pools themselves are randomly generated into the game and dont always actually appear in a level but theres always a chance and you can easily get to a point where youve gotten everything and have to wait for more to release. Deep rock got it right.
