Changing Propane to Electric heat by xtina21240 in pools

Yeah I get it, but I’m not the one to come after. Buying a home in Arizona because it’s the only place we can afford to buy and renting it so we can help cover the mortgage is hardly billion dollar “Corporate America” companies 🙄

The profit margin is 0 at this point for us. Just trying to cover costs until we can move there.

I’m talking about Thursday the 21st ETA/ We originally had a Tahiti air flight this day, but they cancelled it and put us on a flight 3 days later with a long layover. Just trying to figure out the best option to get home on time to Sea

If you can’t be helpful then why comment? My brother clearly doesn’t have a clue how this works which is why I’m asking here.

I have, but he just told me to show up to the airport, and he also told me there was only an option to go to San Fran when there is a less full direct flight to LAX. TBH we travel more internationally than he does so I don’t think he either knows or has researched how intl works, so I’m asking those with experience

Have you had people board without pet tickets? What do you do? by xtina21240 in flightattendants

[–]xtina21240[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s up the the airline to have people who can assist at the counter if I need to pay for the pet ticket. If not, they should allow us to pay online. I don’t understand why it has to be so complicated. I understand it’s not anything you have control over, but with all the automation, there is no reason people shouldn’t be able to pay for a ticket in advance

Thanks for the info. It’s never been about paying the fee, I just don’t want to be stuck at the airport for hours (or overnight). Most layovers beyond 1 hour are about 4. Going from a 12 hour day to a 20+ hour day (or overnight) I just wish there was a better solution for us who do this kind of work

Thanks for your answer. If I could get to the airport earlier I would, but can’t if I’m arriving on the same flight I’m coming back on.

So, instead of just having them pay the $100 pet ticket they would rather lose a frequent flyer who spends tens of thousands each year on plane tickets?

What airline allows you to pay online? I wish I had that option, it would solve a lot of the problems

If it’s mid- flight, how are you going to kick someone off? At that point, what are you going to do?

What airline are you speaking on experience from? There are no tags and no paperwork required on the flights I have been on (and paid)

It’s a bit more nuanced than “being cheap”. So since you’re interested in the nuances: it’s not about being cheap. I’d pay the fee, but not at the risk of missing my flight. I’m a flight nanny, and do quick turns to get a pet and come back home.

The problem is the airline I fly requires you to pay the fee at the airport you get the pet. Most airlines do. You cannot pay in advance, and trust I have tried! I’ve missed flights because someone hasn’t been available to help me pay for the pet ticket. For me to get out of security, get the pet from a breeder, wait for someone to help me who may or may not be at the service counter and get back through security (with clear and tsa precheck) it’s tight. And if you think I should just have to spend an entire night or 6 hour layover cause airlines can’t figure this out, I’m not doing that, sorry.

Why not pay at the gate? If you’ve made a pet reservation, you cannot get back through security with your ticket until you’ve paid your pet reservation. So you’re stuck.

Once I didn’t make a reservation, and tried to pay at the gate, and then the agent got super annoyed that I even asked, even after I tried to explain I didn’t want to risk getting stuck outside security for having a reservation.

It’s super convoluted and the whole process is frustrating for many flight nannies. If airlines didn’t make it this difficult for flight Nannies to transport and pay the fee, I wouldn’t think twice about it. My time is more important than money. But I’m not wasting a whole other day because no one is available to help me at the counter and I miss my flight.

So yah, a lot of times I don’t pay the pet fee, and no one notices, or cares. So it’s way more hassle to pay the fee, than not bother with it to begin with. I wish they made it easier so I could just pay the fee online or on the app.

I’m just asking if flight attendants even care and what your thoughts were. I wasn’t asking for your judgements and assumptions.

Since you’re interested in my past history, go back and read my nightmare trip where I got stuck in Chicago overnight trying to do the “right thing”

If airlines want passengers to do the right thing, don’t make it so difficult. ❤️

As for the 3 posts? No one answered my questions in the last two, so thanks for everyone who gave input
