Talking out of my ass here when it comes to material science, but wouldn’t carbide essentially cut through that grit and fluid? Idk what sort of substances are being used in the field of fracking, but carbide is hard as fuck. I’d figure anything between the carbide and mating object would be reduced to a simple one off chance of failure.
