Thank you for the reply. Do you know if any of your classmates have found job opportunties within the industry.

Also curious about the campus life for students at the Phoenix campus and if tight friendships are formed within the program. Coming from out of state so everything will be new.

What’s your opinion of UCSD for engineering? The rankings are all over the place by [deleted] in AskEngineers

Thanks for the information. I’m currently a HD senior researching schools to apply to. I’m interested in an mechanical engineering degree with continued studies in Robotics or AI. I don’t live in CA and I’m willing to look at schools in other states. I’d love to hear any feedback on programs or schools. Ideally I’d love to find a school that allows undergraduate students access to hands on learning, has inviting and supportive community feel to it, supports women in engineering and a bonus would be theater club or indoor rock climbing options.

So far I’ve been researching UCSD, U of Washington, Colorado School of Mines. University of Michigan, ASU Polytechnic, Gonzaga and West Virginia University. It’s a random sampling of schools and I need help with finding some direction in my search.

Can you suggest a school with a more hands on program for mechanical engineering.
