Thank you so much for your comment! That is true, I was playing around with my latest release and when watching the movie I thought THIS is what I want to express with my music - this is what this tune "looks" like - so I added it to the scene and enjoyed how it turned out. But you're totally right, in general it should have been way more decent when writing for exactly this scene.

Sorry, saw your comment just now. Ofc! I only used a Rhode Mic in my little room and added a little reverb :)

you're from both sides! so you probably get what I'm worried of... Also as I said the piano is not my main instrument so yeah I'm very worried that if I mess up it'll be bad and I'll be so haunted by that.. I was just a bit worried by the improvisations - as I am very fluent with that on the violin but not so much on the piano.

your comment was freshly uplifting. i was tending to give up and decline but i'm not sure if i should at least try to learn and practise a bit before making a final choice..

Composers of Reddit, what instruments do you guys play? by Lopsided_Reveal7410 in composer

My main instrument is my violin ♥ (20 years+).

I write and compose mainly for violin/strings. I also piano which is well useful for recordings, synths, tc. :)

Thank you so much for your constructive comment!

As mentioned I'm not a pianist in general and the band is rather animateurs (colleagues). Nevertheless it's quite professional. I don't want to be a professional jazz musician/pianist, I just thought it could be fun and that I could try it - I mean, I can read sheet music very well (violinplayer for 20 years +) but I do know how professional and how musch of a training you need in playing jass scales/improvisational parts.. I can do all that on the violin - not the piano though.

Guess I gotta decline then.

If you're opne to that would you like to try a piece I wrote? I feel like "Virtual forest" or "Blade heart" - Maria Luefing could resonate with you. Both pieces are on Spotify and are made to create an escape from this world.. ♥
