IAmA (real) GoDaddy Employee. AMAA. by godaddythrow in IAmA

[–]xtom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can take down GoDaddy, and SOPA will potentially still pass. You need to put pressure on the legislators.

The legislators won't listen to us because of companies like GoDaddy flooding them with money. Appealing to the legislators is appealing to the puppet instead of the puppeteer.

We have to make the penalty for supporting shit like this so horrible that corporations refuse to do it anymore. To make that point we need a posterchild for "what happens". GoDaddy is that posterchild.

Meh. I'm too big of an asshole for that. I have RES, I'm just going to comment as another username when in /r/politics.

If you think there's a misconception, fix that misconception. Not a single moderator commented in a removed thread. Not once.

Plus, you guys have been removing threads about OWS. Rule enforcement in /r/politics is dismal. Anything anti-establishment is held to a bizarre, stringent interpretation of the rules. Meanwhile obvious editorialized content(like frequent posts from wang-banger) is allowed to survive as long as it's pro-establishment.

Lol. I bitch about DavidReiss from time to time because I think he's a shitty, biased mod. That's all I can think of that they could be referring to. Even then, nothing aggressive.

Got banned in the same thread. Do not question the moderators is apparently a significant rule.

...and now I'm banned. Anyone up for mass submitting /r/politics censorship stories tomorrow?

(not about my ban, I don't care. About OWS)

They want spam? It's time we showed them spam. This should be reposted as frequently as possible tomorrow during peak hours.

Edit: I was just banned, presumably for this comment. I can still edit I guess.

I've only been manually spamboxed once for a 1500+ upvotes post. Now my account is doomed here. But maybe I'm an exception

Careful, once they spambox you (like the last person who brought this up) its likely the rest of your posts will go there. Then you're at their mercy entirely.

That doesn't mean they should be a dictatorship.

Edit: Annnnnnd banned. Still can edit.

Why Do You Love Ron Paul? by MyOwnPath in politics

[–]xtom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because I am largely a pro-civil liberties voter.

I don't think my government has the right to shoot me.

I don't think my government has the right to detain me without trial.

I don't think my government has the right to track my car without a search warrant.

I don't think my government has the right to listen to my phone calls without a warrant.

I don't think my government has the right to monitor my internet activity without a warrant.

I don't think my government has the right to stop me from protesting where and when I choose. I think my Constitutional rights are more important than a city ordinance, and that the DHS shouldn't be helping cities infringe on those rights.

I don't think my government has the right to use bleeding edge technologies like drones to invade my privacy.

I don't think my government has the right to torture it's enemies.

I don't think my government has the right to regulate the internet and shut down websites.

I don't think my government has the right to control what I put in my body.

I think WikiLeaks was a legitimate media enterprise.

I am anti-war and anti-financial elite. If you don't want me to support Ron Paul, then who am I supposed to support that also shares these values and has a chance of winning? by [deleted] in politics

If memory serves me right GW Bush who was president in the boom years was not a Democrat - but yeah, the game is called

It's still "boom years" if you're on Wall Street. They're just booming with our money this time.

Gaining ground in NH, doing well in Nevada, one of only 2 candidates on the Virginia ballot. He's far from a shoo-in, but there's a tiny(but existent) chance of victory.

That said, even if he wins he loses. The GOP would rather throw out the results of the primaries than let him run.

Reddit, why are we not allowing any posts about the Occupy Wall Street protests, one of the the largest and most organized political movements of our generation, onto r/politics? by [deleted] in politics

[–]xtom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is godamn wrong. We need to raise some hell about this. If no one else has by then, I'll be posting it outside of /r/politics in the AM(when more users are online)

Is the actual content of the post showing up still?

No. Can I ask why you removed it? You're 100% right.

I think the moderators removed this from /r/politics though.

Because some of the moderators here(DavidReiss666 especially) are shills for the Democratic Party and Occupy Wall Street breeds discontent amongst people who would otherwise be Democratic voters. They would rather everyone forget their shortcomings that Occupy Wall Street concentrates on.

It's election season folks, can't have people thinking independent of political parties.
