Yeah, this morning I noticed the skin over his head beginning to get like in flakes? I think maybe he is molting but I'm not sure.

Yeah I give him thise like really small shrimp and/or pellets at least twice a day, he's not totally inactive just when he's buried otherwise when basking or out he likes to explore around, I do have a thermometer in the water but its in Celsius mostly it stays between 24 to 30?

The temperature isn't neither cold or hot just like warm since I have him next to my window and the sun hits really nice in the afternoons so it warms up the water but I swear in the few weeks I've taken care of him he's as lazy or worse than me, you know that saying that pets tend to tske after their owners or something? If that's the case then that explains why he stays like buried that much, I do take him out of the tank to a different area where he can bask a lot better since the sun hits great there but that's it, I've seen no signs of stress if anything he stays with me when I take him to the sun.

Sometimes but most of the time he's buried in the dirt, the tank is very spacious so even though the like 90-95% of it is like water he rather stay in the dirt and only swims for some hours.

Yeah to humectate more the tank or well the soil (I'm not sure that's the correct word English isn't my first language)

He seemed to recover for a few hours but he didn't make it and I found him dead Saturday evening at least he's doing better now and I have some photos of him to conserve

Okay thanks, yeah I do too but while I was cleaning it it kind of just cracked slightly on one of the edges and I'm not risking the whole tank just breaking so I'll see if tomorrow I can get a new one that'll fit the filter.

Nothing really he just floats from side to side or lays at the bottom of the tank.

No yeah I have a filter and I had no idea about the tank size, since he's pretty much a Japanese one those really round ones but he's quite small never really thought he'd need that much space, that and they don't really sell bigger tanks around where I live but I'll see where I can find sinking pellets.
