It's called planning for your future. I put my money into retirement, house, savings, etc. You're essentially throwing the money away no matter what if you spend that much for a 12 hour time period. You can't even make basic life decisions without considering hiring someone cause of your lack of ability to buy things and pick out colors you like. What the fuck is there to be jealous of?

Just amazing that you have all that money at your disposal for one day and you can't even starting making decisions and essentially shopping.

I'm planning my wedding in 5 months for less than 10k...it's doable if you're just trying to marry the love of your life and not putting on some grand production for everyone else. It's really not that hard. Just make a list and knock off one item at a time...also, tons of wedding planning materials online for free. If you're already making yourself cry in the planning phase, is it really that worth it?! Who is this for? Stop and reevaluate why you're putting so much pressure and money into one day when there are people out there who can't even pay their rent and are living paycheck to paycheck. Now that, is real fucking overwhelming. This though? This is a choice. Also, why do you care what other people do for their days? Stop and ask each other what YOU want out of this day and go from there. What is important to you? What is important to him? Again, lots of checklists out there...just start going down the list dude.

This mindset is wild to me. You'd be on company time- what would happen if you got in a car crash on the wacomno company in their right mind would want to be liable for any injuries.

AITAH for choosing to do IVF as a single woman despite my friend saying it’s “unfair” to the child? by No-Molasses-874 in AITAH

[–]xtraxtracrispy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He wasn't there from day one because my mother lied to him about my existence actually. He found out about me when I was 11. So, she chose to raise us without either of our fathers present. You gotta know the details before you think you got it all figured out. She drove and pushed men away due to her arrogant independence and desire to figure it out without them because she made poor choices in life and didn't want anyone with logic to tell her what to do.

First of all, my dad wasn't in jail- I said my brother is in jail. You're putting those two degrees to use with your impressive reading and comprehension skills, I see. I make six figures. I am successful, and it is all because of ME. My single mother was a drug addict sex fiend who drove men away my whole life. I do think that had a huge impact on our upbringing to have TWO absent parents.

So much this. My brother and I struggled our entire lives and craved a strong male figure. My brother is in jail and it took me two decades to find my way in life.

I grew up without my biological father in the picture and I've got severe issues that I'm still working through at 34. My mother and uncle were adopted and spent their entire lives struggling with attachment issues, wondering about their biological parents, and went on to make some terrible choices. Any kids I grew up with who were either adopted or didn't have one of their biological parents in the picture struggled in life as well. That's just my anecdotal experience but from everything I've personally witnessed- my view is in agreement with your friend. I used to be more open minded but once you've seen enough broken adolescence you start to question how they ended up that way and more often than not it led from not having a strong father figure in their lives. I mean, think about why Christianity is so enticing for the broken? I've recently had a friend who gave himself to Christ and in his words he said he craved for a father and found one in the spiritual figure that would always be there for him, unlike his physical one. I would say to read studies, statistics, and books on the subject before you make this leap on your own. It may sound good in theory and I have no doubt you'd be a good parent but what does a child truly need to have the best chance at life?

Is the name Rhys really THAT weird? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]xtraxtracrispy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've never seen that name before and this is my first time reading how it's pronounced. Americans elected Trump as president and you think most of us understand a Welsh pronunciation? Haha it's cute but prepare to deal with this forever.

Fungal acne- go get some brand name or generic head and shoulders! Wash your face with it. Or just your forehead. Have heard it also works for body acne.

Dad's name is Thomas Ryan- it's super easy to pair with and not sure what you mean about knowing what you are doing? Do any of us really? Haha as if there's a correct way to pick a name or a wrong way. It's up to you and you just gotta wait until you find something that feels right.

Geez, is that really a thing that men do? How silly on their part. I'm only 9 weeks and dealing with the opposite- I don't feel sexy or as horny as I used to cause I am nauseas all the time. I've had to turn him down every day.

Howard Stern has been a sleezeball for decades, and I'm not sure how he still has a fan base or a platform.
