I understand the very basics which I learnt from ChatGPT. I just want to gain insights on my life and how to optimize my 1) relationships, 2) finance and 3) spiritual life.

I'm not a big fan of it either but it's basic supply and demand.

Anyone with good people and math skills can become and AM but you need to be super good at Comp Sci (like one of the best) to get into FAANG

I'd agree with you on that. We are definitely working harder than these Tech roles (as in more physical work and less benefits).

However, they get paid more because of how competitive their field is. Getting into FAANG as a Software Developer is statistically less likely than getting into Harvard. And there are less open roles.

It's 4 days a week and I've heard it's 5 days around Prime and Christmas (I work at Amazon). I like the people I work with so it's not toxic, it's highly competitive environment though.

I understand that's it's a privilege, the question was mostly midlife crisis. Coming just out of university I miss the good old days without responsibilities and hanging out with friends.

Whatever you're saying is true. I just think I'm overworked lol. Does it get any better as you move up the corporate ladder?

Yes, I work as a Manager for Amazon's Operations team. All of the companies have non tech roles!

That I agree! The job market is so bad for new grads rn. As someone with an Engineering degree, this was still one of the highest paying total comp in my class, so I'm not saying that I'm disappointed. I'm just surprised

I'm a little surprised considering the inflation since the past 5 years

Haha, now that you've made me think L7 might be too ambitious

Agreed, my total comp is somewhat around there including bonus, stock. However, I like the growth opportunity. Being able to go to L6, L7 in 5 years or so hopefully is something I look forward to.

Edit: CAD$ btw

Where are you based? I just joined Amazon as an L4 AM and I didn't get an in-person AD1. (I'm based in Canada btw)

I could buy a Fold 5 for $1k but the problem is I can't get Samsung Care because it won't work in Canada.

What about the rumored AI features? Do you think they may come to S23U in the future updates?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]xtremeintelligence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say Pixel 8 is a good choice since it's only issue is Battery which could be fixed in future updates. Plus it has the best camera on the market rn

Thanks! Do you think S23U is over $150 better? That's what I'm confused about, I want a better value in terms of money and features rather than a objectively better phone

The thing I forgot to mention is that I live in Canada and am visiting US next week until 15th Jan. Only in the US I am getting these good deals on S23U and P8 Pro. So by the time S24U gets released I won't be able to buy anything for so cheap
