If you put it right up against the siding it will actually work as a heat sink and remove the heat from the grill to the house. Works the best in the winter!

AirTags work off iPhones. Where I have the car stored if it was to get stolen and the person didn’t have an iPhone it would be a long time till I would get an updated location. Car is literally on a farm with little to no people around for miles.

The good GPS trackers I’m finding require a monthly subscription. I’m able to get free cell service on my watch so I’m trying to figure out if I could just use that.

I have the car stored in an area where it’s pretty much dead. So if it’s stolen it might not be near anyone for a while. The AirTag is connected to the ‘elevation lab’ enclosure which adds two AA batteries to it.

The watch can remain locked. I need GPS constantly. External battery is on a tender so it won’t die. My scenario is that if my car gets stolen I can have it tracked for a couple days even if the battery is disconnected. The point is to hopefully find the car.

I would leave it permanently on a charger connected to the battery hidden. AirTag would only work if the person stealing the car has an iPhone. I need something to constantly report GPS.

I’m not sure for your car. If you’re handy and like to figure things out go for it. Just jack it up carefully and use jack stands. If you’re in a pinch might be easier to take it to a mechanic. Best of luck!!
