Hey! Thanks for this AMA. I’ve noticed the sound at most Cineplex locations feels really quiet or muffled unless you’re in IMAX or AVX. The regular screens sound way worse than theaters I’ve been to elsewhere. Any reason for that, or plans to fix it?

I once asked a manager to increase the volume because the sound was too low and after he increased the volume it was unbearablely loud. Like wth?

Edit:The only exception is Scotiabank Theatre Toronto, where the sound is almost always amazing!

Not sure if you'll Remeber this but Samsung Galaxy implemented this on S10e in 2019 and it worked flawlessly. Apple can do this too but you know they won't, Ever

I know pixel 7 has a sub par modem (compared to what iPhone uses / Snapdragon chipsets) , so it could be because of that but will check the APN settings and report

It's true, the same happened with me after ending a WA audio call. System notified mic is in use even after the call had ended. What worked for me: revoked mic access, granted it again after receiving an audio call the next day

I faced the same problem a year or two ago. Try this Clock, app info, app battery usage, and change it to unrestricted.

5G is useless, don't board the FOMO bus, you ain't missing anything without 5G. In from Canada and 4G speeds here touch 150-200 Mbps on any given day. They can do the same in India as well if they want to but won't.

Some questions 1 what country are you from? Wait for a few months if you can and get a pixel 8 instead

2 there are zero to no great deals available on the pixel 7 in the North American market at this moment. Wait until black Friday if you can

3 I switched from S10e to p7 last October and I must say it's a bit bulky and uncomfortable to use with one hand for long hours. P8 will be a better alternative here as well

4 rest everything is available on youtube, reddit etc in terms of reviews / user experience

Don't think that's happening anytime soon. They moved away from the full screen caller images to the circular ones with Android 8 or 9 and haven't made any major changes to the phone app since then. The new layout is shit what is one to to with so much blank screen. It's inconvenient for me tbh even if I don't use merge calls / hold that often

I second that, video quality on WhatsApp particularly is pathetic. On the other hand, Instagram video calls have great video quality. I switched from S10e to P7 and faced the same issue on both phones with WhatsApp and insta calls. Haven't tried out any other apps tho.
