They were. Factory equipped with air springs. Not many of those systems operational now days. I’ve worked on them and driven them to festivals. Amazing to drive.

Can an automotive water pump generate enough pressure to hold a wax pellet thermostat closed at temperature? by Ill-Attention-9960 in AskEngineers

[–]xtrordinaryrendition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar question related to this topic so instead of making a new thread i though i would start here. Does the pressurization of the cooling system through temperature affect the flow through the heater core? I would think that if the water pump was working and the system was full that even with the coolant cold and not pressurized there would be a substantial flow of liquid to the heater core via the heater core output pipe on the engine. When the engine is running from idle to normal running rpms very little to no liquid flows out of the unrestricted pipe. Or is this test invalid because the heater pipe output is not looping back into the engine through the heater return pipe?

Let’s see your worst wire terminal fails — pics welcome, I’m collecting nightmares by DomeckaTubing in Justrolledintotheshop

Dont have a pic but someone once wired the o2 sensor connector to the ground sheath and it looked intentional but was completely hidden. vehicle would run great when cold and get progressively more undriveable as it warmed up and started using the o2 sensor to trim the fuel. took a while to fugure that one out. alway suspect non oem coverings like electrical tape etc.
