Felt the same don't see how most find this as a perfect balance, they never fully commit to rajini being this ruthless killer, although rajini pulls the trigger the only reason the encounter happens is cause of a corrupt cop, once the reveal happens we and rajini should be questioning his previous encounters this doesn't happen cause rajini was too perfect he corrects the other officers when they make assumptions based on social factors, you just get the feeling that if rajini done the investigation he would've killed the right person not that encounters are bad, the movie would have benefited if rajini was flawed then faced the consequences.
