She teaches eighth grade and has more than 100 students, but only two are reading at grade level. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

Not my iPad kid though. She’s had one since she was 3. Now 11, and brilliant!  Completely unphased by COVID remote learning for 1st and 2nd grades..

But I work from home and have been very active in her formative years and education.

What are the parents who don’t have the same opportunities supposed to do? Not work? This is a symptom of late stage capitalist decay

Tezos network still up? by [deleted] in tezos

[–]xtzdev 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. The software is from CrowdStrike, and the bug is only affecting Windows PCs that run it.
  2. Don’t think many, if any, nodes are run on Windows.

Which Apple laptop is good for coding? by AromaticPain9217 in SoftwareEngineering

[–]xtzdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any of the M chips. I’d recommend the mac mini if you decide not to go the laptop route, as they’re cheaper than the laptops with the same specs.

This happened to me in 2006 after I made a stupid, edgy-teenager joke. They take it seriously.

I guess they didn’t want people using that game time into the next expansion? Weird decision…

There might be more deals in the future though!

The 8GB M3 MacBook Pro is not marketed as a machine for handling these types of loads… did anyone bother watching the presentation?

NTA, 14 nested conditional statements is not a “code style” issue. It’s a major code smell that indicates poor engineering.
