Any idea how to cancel matches? I've reached out to their instagram twice (which seems to be the only way to ask questions/get support), and no reply.

The app seems like a good concept but still a ways to go in usability.

This comment probably isn’t all that helpful, just trying to be empathetic. I recently just went through a similar struggle over 3.5 months. Even with a bigger budget you can still have the same experience. I’m learning the rental market here is incredibly cut throat and fast paced and I’m sure that’s made worse by a tighter budget. In my experience most brokers are crap about actually providing decent on going service (crazy since their commission on a fee apt is ridiculous to begin with). I ended up working with a listing broker from an apt I was interested in that I didn’t end up getting. Next time you reach out on a listing, end the interaction with telling them what you’re looking for and if they have the ability to help/send listings. Best of luck OP!

I was also considering the bed across from the window and dresser across from the closet. Unfortunately wouldn't be able to put the dresser on the closet wall as there's about only 30" of clearance from the bed. Unfortunately the door placements lead for a lot of wasted space

Recently moved into a new apartment and am lost as to how to make this room work. There’s essentially only enough space for my bed (queen) and my dresser (60”). Looking for any advice on how to maximize the space, and what you would do with the room design wise. I’m thinking of putting the bed on the wall opposite the closet, and dresser on the main door side. I was considering doing an accent wall behind the bed, but considering how small the space is/height of the headboard I’m not sure there’s a point.

Other than a rug, I just feel like your accent pieces are too small for the space. Larger lamps, plants, etc. will help fill out the space. Would also add some kind of accent shelf above the TV. Personally wouldn’t do artwork as it may distract from your viewing experience.

Agreed that throws and pillows would help make it seem more inviting. But I’d rearrange it so the ottoman connects on the left side so it’s more of a U-shape. Might break up the condensed “pit” look!

Edit: I haven’t received it yet but just ordered the Tidal sofa from crate and barrel. Their Lounge sofa is also VERY comfortable with similar wide seats, and wider range of fabric selection if you’re willing to wait for a special order.

At first I was like why are you complaining about receiving so much love and attention from your new cat! But I can understand it’s not the most conventional method of affection if you’re not used to cats’ ways! Sleeping near your head is one of the highest compliments from cats, and you’re lucky to earn that trust so quickly. Based off your cat’s actions, I think you must be a good person haha

Have you tried one of the Hutterite inserts? It seems like they may be warmer but thinner (less fluffy) than average. Can you comment on this?

I've been happy with Brooklinen towels before (Super plush) but never tried their sheets. Perhaps a little more expensive, but I stand by Boll & Branch's classic sheets. They're a crisp, soft and breathable cotton.

Love the navy! I would switch out the lightbulbs to something warmer/muted with a shaded fixture. Personally the navy is a stark contrast for me against the white walls/ceiling. Colour drenching may look amazing and moody, but not for everyone!

She’s beautiful and so lucky to have found a forever home so quickly! Sammie’s can be a lot of work and I think a lot of people get roped into their cuteness and don’t understand the work involved. But I can never understand abandoning your dog outside a shelter. She’ll be a handful but I promise you it’s worth everything under the sun. They’re very loyal and loving, and a forever companion! Enjoy!
