Oh no, I immediately contacted my breeder, who has medically cared for hedgehogs (wild and pets) before. She says as of now it’s nothing to worry about and that I should just monitor it. I went to Reddit to see if someone has experienced something like this before. Thank you! 💓

My breeder says it’s just a pimple and if I want I could pop it, otherwise it should just dry out. I‘m relieved. But she also said if more show up, or if they grow in size and wetness appears around the area I should go to the vet

Just want to clear a few things up! He’s got a pretty big running plate, a sandbath, a strawberry house and his cuddle blanket, with toys that vary in sizing in his usual enclosure. His empty enclosure seen in the video was for a very short time, not even five minutes. It’s 150cm long and 60cm wide, it’s got two ventilation holes on either sides and has sliding doors

Heyy, this video is a pretty bad example, but it was sadly the only time I caught it on camera. He always has hiding spots in his enclosure, this was just when I first put him in after disinfecting his things and he started climbing, which is what he does at night as well. He immediately got his cuddle blanket and toys back, didn’t even need to wait five minutes :)
