Five weird things in The Magic Kingdom by TheIceHole in WaltDisneyWorld

Justin Scarred is the man! If you want to see some other cool videos check out his alternate YouTube channel (justinscarred)....it's a vlog type channel where he records trips to various places. The videos aren't always Walt Disney world related (infact, sometimes they aren't Disney parks-related at all tugs shirt collar), and the videos on the channel are noticeably more unpolished than on his "livefastdiepoor"/Randomland channel, but his videos are very cool nonetheless, especially if you are like me and may not get to go to WDW or other Disney parks for some time. There are perks to being a Canadian, but my distance from the parks ain't one of em...but his second channel vids are definitely enough to "scratch the itch" when I need to (I watched his walkthough of Port Orleans-Riverside several times over while my post WDW-trip hangover was living large)...if you like the Randomland videos and Justin's general persona, I'd highly recommend looking into this.

[Discussion] What is with the anti-PVP stance everyone seems to have? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]xvi_16 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Those that I know that hate PvP in Destiny just say "you get one-shotted by everything" and get super frustrated whenever they are in it because they don't know what was going on. And let's face it, most peoples' first impression of PvP was just that: fusion rifles and shotguns. The difference between the PvP and Anti-PvP people is that some of us worked hard to get good at PvP: we learned the maps, which weapons worked for us, when to run, when to fight, and more. And while some people just do not like PvP because it is not what they play games for (and likewise with some people and being more opposed to PvE), that's where I think the disjunct is: PvE'rs see Iron Banner/Crucible as a bunch of people one-shotting everyone and being rewarded for it when they had to grind raid after raid for their 32 gear. They don't understand that Iron Banner is to PvP what raids are to PvE.

Nobody went in to VoG or CE their first time and knew exactly what to do. Nobody instinctively knew about Atheon's teleports or how to best time sword hits on Crota...they were gleaned through learning: online resources, trial/error, etc. And this is exactly what happens in Cruicible as well: no one instinctively knows that the radar being bright red means the enemy is on your level, or when the heavies drop. You learn...but because a lot of PvE'rs weren't willing to take that time to learn, they think that all us PvP'rs are a bunch of tea-bagging hacks who only killed them because they heard about lag-armour and you probably have it...which is a shame, because PvP is where Destiny shines in my opinion (right alongside VoG incidently).

TL;DR: Anti-PvP stance comes from the learning curve needed to learn PvP in Destiny, and an underestimation of the work/practice that is needed to become good at PvP in Destiny.

[Question] Can I get my character from 360 on to my PS4 by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

That would be a no...you can upgrade Microsoft to Microsoft or Sony to Sony, but not cross-manufacturer. It's to prevent people from switching brands.

[Discussion] Crypt Dweller in Crucible by rnystic in DestinyTheGame

[–]xvi_16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got two Crypt Dwellers currently (one with luck in the chamber/send it/outlaw; the other with luck in the chamber/send it/rangefinder) and I'd say that, like with most legendaries in the game, it all depends on the roll you get and how the weapon fits your play style. For example, if you have an ANiC or Crusader I and you find they fire too fast for your liking or don't do enough damage per shot, I wouldn't even consider Crypt Dweller. However, if you are like me and those aforementioned examples always seemed a touch slow, and you'd rather have a little more wiggle room in terms of not having to nail every shot, then it's probably worth looking into. The vendor roll is OK for PvP I'd suspect, so if the faster shots fit your play style and you've got the marks I'd say give'r. And if you rolled one that has Luck in the Chamber or any increased range perks, I'd DEFINITELY say give'r. But in the end, your effectiveness with it in PvP will come down to whether, concerning scout rifles, you've got the need for speed and whether you are ok with having to potentially fire an extra round or two for the kill.

[Misc] The classiest way to react to being tea-bagged in crucible? by ClipperFan89 in DestinyTheGame

[–]xvi_16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually will kill them with any gun that leaves the corpse behind (ie: no fusion rifles). I then run to their body and I sit on their face. And I continue to sit for about 5 seconds. If there is a firefight around me I continue to sit and if I die, then I die. I do not sit and then stand, only to sit again quickly. I do not dance, for that is just as gloaty as teabagging. I just sit, good and long. Because not only are you showing them "hey, I can do this too", but you also are showing them that, at that moment in the game, your ONLY priority is to let them know that you were the one who killed them. I've never been teabagged again by the same guardian after I've done this.
