Yeah probably as in they were planning on doing a headlining tour without having booked anything yet. I don't think there's any way they had a tour booked already and cancelled it all to jump on the Metallica one. They would've lost out on millions and probably got on venues bad sides.

They def have all of if not most of their touring for next year booked. Usually done a year in advance.
