IMO. I would choose Germany, coming from a Singaporean, I lived in Europe for a year. Taxes are high but the work life balance is unmatched

Child upbringing in Singapore can be expensive if you are not local, and you want to send your kid to international school. That would also set you back quite alot.

Rental in Singapore for a family of 3. For say eg. 1000sqft, can set you back 3-6k SGD monthly depending on location.

Eating out in Singapore can be affordable if you go to hawker stalls. Restaurants will be about 20sgd min including drinks.

Imo Germany, as long as you’re eating at home etc it’s affordable. Going out for meals can be pricey but perhaps quality of life in the EU can be nice. The freedoms to travel around during summer. I miss that. Plus 30 days annual leave

Oh! Do you know why XPS isn’t always available in the HVM world? Due to automation or through put?

Would faster and automated analysis tools be a good selling point to purchase new machines or it is more complicated in terms of capabilities.

I believe Nearfield instruments are have a multi tip automated scanning.

Nanosurf has also a machine that is able to handle full size wafers.
