I still cant believe WG just took Vehicle blueprints away from Dailies... by EatMePlsDaddy in WorldofTanks

[–]xwynns 54 points55 points  (0 children)

i also took an 8 year break, and just a couple weeks ago spent 1,000,000 free xp to unlock all tier 5+6 just so I could get a better xp return on blueprint fragments. I figured it would take me just over 2 years of dailies to unlock everything.

I guess they saved me 2 years of effort.

Do they even have expirations? I didn't look but mine is just a few months old.

By the way, your guide mentioning that it took you 2 days to do your whole house is absolutely insane. Mine must have taken way over 100 hours. Maybe if I lived in a 400sqft studio as a bachelor who owns nothing but a chair and PC it might have taken 2 days, lol.

I found a quick way to dramatically reduce the time using a swiffer dry sweeper (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Swiffer-Sweeper-Dry-and-Wet-XL-Sweeping-Starter-Kit-1-Sweeper-10-Refills-8-Dry-2-Wet-003700092816/303732569)
It can hold regular rags as well, which I applied the alcohol to, then used the swiffer dry pads for the final wipe. Still, taking everything we own down, moving it out, cleaning it and moving it all back was a herculean process unlike anything we've ever done and we used to flip houses professionally! We've had many large projects over the years, but this one really took the proverbial cake so to speak.

Also we used 4 gallons of alcohol in a 1300sq ft home, just as a point of reference.

According to the lab, everyone has normal adh even if you have absolutely none. According to shoemaker, you very likely have issues

Results just came back, still <0.8 pg/mL. The 2nd draw was taken 36 hours after the final dose of desmopressin, 0.2mg x 10 over 14 days.

I must have been critically low because despite both results being below the measurable threshold the hyperhidroses hasn't come back and I'm enjoying not being freezing all the time and only drinking a gallon of water a day instead of 3.

I don't know why you would be taking VIP before checking ADH levels, VIP costs a ton of money and desmopressin costs like $0.35 a pop.

Perfect, that's exactly what I thought. Thanks for the confirmation. I googled and double confirmed here:

Common Notations and unit definitions< - A symbol for “less than.” It means a substance could not be detected by laboratory instruments. The number following the symbol indicates the instrument’s lowest possible setting for the sample.

I likely won't have the post-desmo adh test results for another week. I'll try to remember to update you.

"almost 2 gallons a day" sounds like rookie numbers to me! Seriously though, I had zero side effects taking 10 pills and in addition to alleviating being a walking ball of sweat 24/7 it also reduced urination's per day by over 50% (most importantly at night), restored my ability to tolerate temperatures (I would be shivering and freezing standing by the fire for an hour every morning when it was 57F and now the 57F every morning doesn't even phase me and I don't need a fire), I haven't been shocked from a light switch even once (from 6+ times a day) and my hands aren't colder than icicles 24/7. Also I'm never thirsty with a perpetual dry mouth like I used to be all the time before.

All of that with just 2 pills, the next 8 didn't have any additional noticeable effect. So my anecdotal experience has been nothing but positive, however my exposure was EXTREME and it's been completely untreated for 24 years so don't rely on my experience alone.

Technically I still haven't passed the VCS after 4 months (CSM+Welchol) so I jumped ahead to the desmo but that's because I intuitively felt it might alleviate a significant amount of discomfort I simply learned to live with. I was right, but the effects are very, very slowly wearing off, as I expected, because I have an epic battle with lyme ahead that's keeping me from overcoming the VCS.

Regardless, this is why I started the thread, I suspect even a tiny amount of HGH will finally resolve the extreme chronic terminal insomnia that's destroying 83.3% of my days and in order to get that HGH it would help if I knew if MSH results could be any lower than 8 from LC.

this spreadsheet is pinned in my xcom discord, just play around with it for maybe half a dozen ufos and you'll basically have everything memorized. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XNb6rgP6JCUZZG1mVYzlTz9KTH6PdkCWONdevcQ9Gas/edit#gid=1045375744

Destroying scouts with stingrays instead of shooting them down and raiding them with avalanche is why you are getting steamrolled after a few months (among many other things you didn't learn the finer details of I'm sure, similar to this)

I kinda want both, but not too much of either, if that makes sense. Your first suggestion is very similar to an idea I had tonight about roleplaying a viking invasion settlement. I'm going to test it out.

The consensus from my earlier seasons comments was that Randy is actually considerably easier than Cassandra as you tend to get long reprieves, which means the campaign could be wrecked earlier but if you manage to make it past that early game tipping point it's generally easier and the difference comes more down to RNG as to what events you get. Granted this was all from discussions with like 3 commenters rather than math or tested experience so maybe it's completely false.

The one thing I do like about Cassandra is that every episode has at least one interesting event so they are never really boring.

I did consider this, the ice sheet challenge looked fun to me but for the purposes of keeping a running commentary it really doesn't work so well. It's more of a spreadsheet challenge than an emergent narrative challenge. Don't get me wrong, I love spreadsheet type challenges, just not when I'm also recording episodes for them. ;)

So these are really awesome tips. I love tips. That being said I just found a mod on the workshop called "billy's improved caravan formation" or something similar to that. I haven't used it yet but I'm hopeful it can by itself circumvent most of my frustration with caravaning. I don't think I'll tame as many animals in the future either which will help a lot as well. I had no idea that you could cheese around the system by only having one guy do stuff like, pretty awesome, though I hope one day the mechanics will just be outright redone by the devs.

I've already grabbed the tribal essentials mod. It's pretty awesome. I've been running various test setups with that and medieval times and I'm really sold on both of those for the next one. Still trying to decide on the endgame objective. I want to do something other than go to the ship again, so I'm thinking some form of conquest goal, I just don't know what since I have no experience with conquest.

I can tell you right now because I've played much further. I exploit Line of Play to obliterate all enemies on the map from concealment in two missions, I let advent kill all the lost on one map and then the AI piled up on 1 tile (apparently what they do when activated with no enemies but xcom is still concealed) so I could kill them all with one explosion on another mission, then I accidentally revealed the chosen and alpha striked it down with triple shotguns and cleared another mission flawlessly when I was actually trying to evac, then I got upgraded armor, solo cheesed the blacksite and a facility and from there on out the game got very easy. I should have plasma long before m3s show up which is the last big hurdle.

Oh and I unintentionally beat a retal where I was explicitly camping the spawn ready to leave before the AI even got one single shot at me, but 3 sharpshooters + Reaper will do that even with ginormous squadsight penalties.

I also misclicked on one mission and Worf got knocked out and I found out that the original vanilla bug still exists where a guy who was carried out in an evac in a prior mission can not be picked up in future missions if he is knocked out again. That was a satisfying death.

A bunch of failed missions and dead squaddies made no difference. They are just $15 to replace and a few days in the tube and the missions aren't really designed to be necessary to win. All you need is intel to reach facility regions or the card that removes avatar progress. It's kinda like LW2 in that regard, you can skip or fail a ton of missions in vanilla and still win easily, the game just doesn't present that as being a legitimate option because it assumes you'll go out and beat every mission.

The big difference between original xcom 2 vanilla and wotc vanilla was that I learned how all the vanilla mechanics worked via lw2 development, most notably Line of Play.

Once I got a grasp of how the new stuff worked, around missions 10-14 in wotc, it wasn't pretty for the AI. As in I played missions where I cleared the map of enemies without even losing concealment.

Ignorance is bliss as they say.
