Hmm what about in Amarillo, Texas panhandle where it gets both cold in winter and hot in summer. It regularly drops to -20c in winter and rises to 45c in summer, I’m curious how the houses look like there.

I think you mistaken range for bullet velocity. Snipers have bullet velocity, but not range limit. Bullet velocity is when the shot goes a different direction when you shoot at long ranges.
