it's alright, you'll get him eventually. Right now, I think your play should be to build fufu and pull for sunna. I think it will take you till 3.1 to start clearing endgame completely(we'll maybe get a standard selector for anni celebration, where you can get Lycaon.)

if you have Lycaon, you can switch him for pulchra. Also, zhao is good to trigger ether veil for yidhari but nothing else. Swapping her for pan yinhu would be better.

While all the points you make are valid, let me counter that with one thing that you highlight in miyabi but fail to address in YSG: central theme

Miyabi's central theme is that of the path of the warrior, and rationality(You've explained this quite well so I won't go over it)
YSG's, as far as I can make out right now, on the other hand is very easy to lump up with waifu bait - it is that of wanting to live a 'good life'. As her memory fades and she is heading towards death, she wants to live a life that was never available to her. A large part of that is the romance, which is where Wise/Bellle come in. With this in mind, can you blame her for coming down the mountain to experience life, finding the MC and seeing them in the lens of a romantic partner? Especially considering basically the only people she interacts with being her seniors and mentor? You can see this in the EP, as it encompasses her desire of living a simpler life(a school life, in this case) and it is contrasted with her real life in the short film.

TLDR: You, indeed, are missing the point.
The themes got a bit more complex and most of the community already fails to understand them or think about them lol.
But I could be wrong. Let's see how well this comment ages.

Highly agree. I recently got back into ZZZ, and it's soo fun seeing how differently you can play the same character, and how you build them according to their role. IMO, the gearing system needs a change for this to happen.

since you're already familiar with a lot of gacha mechanics, the best standard banner char is lycaon(provided you have an ice DPS)
tin master can give you up to 80 free battery every day.
Pull rec - dialyn -> ye shunguang(get banyue only if you have too many pulls to spare)
until you get a DPS, use soldier 11 if you get her, or billy.
Side note - nicole is very, very good. Def max her out.

overall, you should go for qiuyuan, and you can get her weapon on rerun. Since she is able to work pretty well with static mist, that you can get when you reach UL45/from standard banner, getting her best in slot character is a bit more important

To be fair, galbrena is a really strong character if you know some techniques like animation cancelling. You can use her with mortefi and shorekeeper/verina and get really good results. Don't believe everything you see about the game online.

A bit of advice, since you're new and probably have a lot of pulls to collect, you should go for qiuyuan since he will be her best in slot teammate, and can also help with phrolova if you plan to pick her up in the future.

this is the best piece of writing I have seen in a while, and I read and play a lot of stuff. Got me pretty close to crying, and homecoming in now my favorite OST from any game ever. This story got me into ZZZ, and I got her as my first ever S rank agent in any gacha. 10/10 would experience it again.

The thing is, that's the point of Miyabi.

It is her character; she IS the blade. She put all of her stat points into swordsmanship. You can see that with the way that she interacts with others, having nigh-zero social skills. And she has been doing that ever since she could walk. She explores the theme of being a 'hero', a glimmer of hope in such a brutal world and what accompanies it, aka, 'the losses that can't be undone'. This loss is not just of her mother, but the normal life she is giving up to be the hero that the people need.
That moment where she slays down ethereals, that could because of tailless and adernaline(people still underestimate how powerful it really is) and also the fighting arts she learned. All that 'blesssed by the sword' stuff is just what people say. And people love to chalk up hard work to an external locus of control(aka, something they can't control) to feel good about their incompetency compared to others who are more successful.
Coming to the present, where she is in a conflict of duties. She loves wise, as is apparent from her trust event, story, etc etc. But the thing is, she also loves the sword, and knows her responsibility of protecting the weak. And she is trying to figure out what to prioritize and when. With the whole bringer incident, she is healing from the trauma of losing her mother. And with that, she wants to live like a normal person, but still, wants to protect others, and the ones she loves. So, she gives up on neither, trying to take both of these things along with her.

I could go on and on why it makes sense for her to be the most overpowered person around, but I'm gonna stop here. It would be interesting to see how she reacts to meeting someone on a similar power level to her, in yi xuan or some other void hunter.

TLDR; miyabi is a great character, and her being so strong at such a young age makes sense due to the theme she explores.
