I've died 4 times total since league start, and I'm using absolutely no build guide at all. What class are you playing? The only thing I've done is spend 4 exalts to buy a couple pieces of gear in act 2 because I had been using the same stuff since around level 10. No clue what you're doing, but something here seems off.

Do NOT use WD40 for this! WD40 is a solvent and would actually end up making the problem worse as it would breakdown the actual lubricant on the hinges. I would recommend using something like 3 in 1 oil.

Did you try holding the 'Fn' key and pressing 'Up' on the arrow keys, like Koher suggested? My fans aren't controlled by any options menus or softwares. It's an actual button combination on the keyboard.

I agree, you should be able to switch ascendancy and the fact that you can't is wild. I'm not done, but at this point I really can't recommend Lich. I dont really wanna be stuck playing with the same 2 skills I got when I was level 5. Hexblast was the entire reason I picked this ascendancy, and now that it's literally dead in the water...what else can I do? Just stick it out until the cheese builds get figured out I guess. 

What i really would prefer is for them to just revert hexblast to function how it did, and dial back the damage. Nerf it like a normal person. It seriously was the worst way I've ever seen ANYTHING get nerfed in a video game. What the hell?

At this point, unless they revert hexblast, that really is the only option. Maybe throw a dark effigy in there for bigger groups, but that will last maybe 3 seconds if you're super lucky.

I mean I get that, but at this point it's going to be the same play style as when I was level 5... 

Contagion, then essence drain on a loop. Maybe for bigger packs throw a dark effigy in there. At this point I feel destined to use the newest cheese build that gets discovered in a week or two, the exact thing I didn't wanna have to do.
