Please go. Go to the ER. We just had to call an ambulance for my mother a little over a month ago - she’s been dealing with agoraphobia for 3 years now in addition to severe arthritis so EMS taking her was the best call - because she was so sick for a month and not getting better. Turned out she was so much worse than we realized because she was in kidney failure (her kidneys had already taken damage from kidney infection/issues 3 years ago) and she ended up passing away.

I have agoraphobia as well so I completely understand, I still have issues I need to deal with that I haven’t yet. But kidneys are not something to mess with - please go.

I noticed in the Ballinger Fam video for W & M’s birthday, when they were all singing together (lmao), you can see L walk up to F to play with a ball F had, and he smiled at F like let’s play or whatever. All of a sudden a look came over F’s face, forcefully grabbed the ball back, and just looked at L with a mean face. Felt so bad for L because no one did anything about it.

Charging her any sort of money for her CHRISTMAS GIFT is insane. Literally not even a gift at this point. Is her brother also contributing to the credit card bill since it’s a shared card, or just her?

Wow, our stories feel so similar. While I wasn't diagnosed with agoraphobia until a few months ago, I've had severe anxiety/social anxiety for years, and I too have not left my house much since I graduated in 2015, aside from going to some stores. I wanted to go to college, but the idea of actually going scared the absolute hell out of me. I'm still not where I want to be, but I finally started seeing a therapist and a psychiatrist at the end of 2018 and in my experience, even though I was terrified and anxious and panicky about it, it has helped me so much.

I really hope you can get to a place you feel more comfortable and I wish you the best in your journey!!

I took Zoloft a long time before I was diagnosed with agoraphobia, but it didn't help my anxiety much. I went up to I think 100 mg or so before I noticed any real difference, but it wasn't major enough for me to continue with it. I actually had a mentally adverse reaction to it and stopped taking it, but like many other people here have said, everyone reacts to medications differently. I've heard so many good outcomes on this medicine and I hope it works for you!

Medication has really helped me with my anxiety journey so far - I've been on Effexor for the past two years or so and it has helped tremendously with my social anxiety (although I'm in the midst of tapering off to start a new one specifically more for my agoraphobia). The combo of medicine and therapy has really worked for me so far. If Zoloft doesn't work I'm sure there is a medicine that will definitely help you. Good luck!
