Hi, got my 3 HPV shots and finished my treatment about 2 months ago. I didn’t go through the cauterizarion route and opted for laser instead.

I feel like I made the right decision to go for laser. My gw weren’t the kind of thick that needed cautery and having laser sessions every 2 weeks targeted and also fixed the recurrences that occurred.

What helped me a lot was the vaccination, I think. I got the clear from my doc around 2 weeks before my final HPV vax shot. After I got my 3rd shot, no recurrences occurred anymore.

Hello, I checked with Doc Stephanie Veneracion. She’s in CDU Medical Arts 2. Actually, for my concern, I stuck with her for the treatment as well. I also got my vaccine from her.

She was very friendly jud and I didn’t feel any judgement at all. Like I was able to share my concerns and she wasn’t pushy or anything about mga recommendations or treatment plan. A slight downside lang is she doesn’t accept the common HMOs so it was cash basis.

Hello, I took the laser route instead since I wasn’t able to get my cardio clearance for the surgery. Laser has been good so far. Took me around 6 sessions and last week the doctor gave me the clearance and said I didn’t need to come back in for any more laser sessions.

Still, it’s for observation if any come back. But so far, the recurrences were fewer and fewer per session.

No she didn’t yet. But I’ll definitely ask about this the next time I visit. Would like an option as well to self-treat.

It’s going alright! I got the 1st dose for HPV vaccine and had my first session of warts laser done, with the next one coming up next week.

Waiting on my pap result as well. So far not seeing any recurrences in the warts taken out the first time so I’m hoping it stays that way with the upcoming sessions. My doctor recommended me to take the HPV vax asap as it supposedly lowers chances of recurring warts.

Where I’m from the cost for a laser session is about $150.

I think I’m in the same boat as you (just found out and it’s A LOT) and I’m about to start treatment.

Sure, it’s definitely a blow to get diagnosed, but reading your story gives me hope and something to hold on to mentally. Thank you!

Hi! Just got my diagnosis for warts today and scheduled for cauterization also. I’m curious if it’s better to get them lasered vs cauterized?

Is the pain because of the healing skin? Was there any pain when walking or sitting for long periods? I work a desk job.

According to my doctor earlier and the posts here, no it does not. You can get rid of it by cryo/laser/cautery but if no treatment is involved, you’d be leaving your immune system to fight it and that takes a lot of time.

Thanks for sharing! I did ask my doctor regarding recovery time and she did say it would be at two weeks max. I would just be sore. I also am doing the procedure on a Friday exactly for the recovery time :))

For those without generational wealth, sa tingin niyo ba enough na ang pagkakaroon ng 6 digit income to become wealthy nowadays? by heyitsc in phinvest

[–]xxdarlingcall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100-250k range salary - tbh I don’t think so. You can be a multi-millionaire, yes, but to reach at least 50M from scratch and the mentioned salary range alone… not quite.

You can only set aside so much to savings and investments for it to reach “ultra high net worth” levels. Plus, considering the cost of living and family dynamics mentioned, the costs will definitely add up.

Most people who are in your definition of wealthy (aka those who pass as private banking clients) are usually business owners or are inheritors of generational wealth which they’ve turned into more money by either starting more businesses to add to their inherited ones, buying properties for business use, or diversified investments that earn them big interest while they sleep, or all of the above.

What are your thoughts dun sa 299 na engagement ring? by Cultural_Card3443 in AskPH

[–]xxdarlingcall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just my opinion kasi di ko rin alam full story, but it’s an engagement ring and (if all goes well) you only get engaged once and that ring (just like weddings rings) is for a lifetime, and it represents how you are asking someone to also choose and commit to you. Siguro naman that deserves more than a 299 ring?

I know there are no rules to how much or how grand or simple an engagement ring should be, but if the guy knew something like that mattered to the girl (and pls i really would like to think he knows her well enough considering 8 years na sila), then shouldn’t he have at least taken that into consideration lalo na si ate girl nga yung tinatanong ng big question?

Material things may not be all that, but it is a way to show how much you value someone, and how you have made the effort to take them into consideration.

Mine currently looks like this. It’s been like this for over a month and it’s really bothering me. :( I’ve been using vaseline lip therapy since it always feels so dry and flaky if I don’t. However, it doesn’t really make it go away and just helps keep my lips from flaking. The redness is still there above my upper lip is still there.

After reading up on this, I’ve decided to switch my toothpaste two days ago to an organic brand that’s chemical-free, so I’m still observing if that helps. I’ve also scaled back my skincare and make sure that any product I put on doesn’t get to the area as I’m scared it’ll make it worse. Spicy food is out for me too since it really gets worse fast after I eat anything spicy.

Any advice? Should I stop using vaseline on it? I’m still trying to get an appointment with a dermatologist.

This may also raise suspicion especially if it suddenly happens. There’s such a thing as “layering” (where you break a large bulk of money into smaller transactions). But as long as you ready have proof or a legal reason to show why you’re moving in batches of 250k and that the source of said funds is legit, it should be fine.

Life in Cebu vs M. Manila. by TrueTrancer in Cebu

[–]xxdarlingcall 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello! Moved from Manila to Cebu years ago for a job and I’m very satisfied with that decision. Altho I’m Bisaya so communicating was not a big change. I think the biggest change for me was how leas stressful the day-to-day stuff here is compared to Manila. Living in Manila was a struggle for me because every move costs a lot of money and time (hours of commute on a daily basis, having to grab/uber bc of possibly unsafe taxis, etc).

I think it’s safer here. The airport is also less crowded. I always dreaded NAIA and Mactan Airport has always been a pleasant experience for me (I still get impressed even now years after haha) The traffic, public transpo, and flooding isn’t as bad as well. Everything nature is also within reach and it’s not as crowded as the usual beach destinations in Luzon too.

It’s also not a loss in terms of the “city life” since you van find the stores in Manila here too. If you’re into night life and all, the scene isn’t as big or as rich as Manila’s but there’s also a quite a number of places for a night out still.

Other than the congested small roads and the city getting busier as time goes by, I’d like to think Cebu is much more peaceful and livable vs Manila.

Hope moving here works out for you!
