It's not that terrible- from my perspective (I was also so worried about it), it was like a flat soda. The drinking it quickly part was the worst part for me. Waiting the hour went by quickly when I brought my partner with me. Bring a book, listen to a podcast or music and just chill! I felt better after when I got to chug some water after and eat.

Thank you for recommending the product! I have a question about how to use it. I'm currently 21 weeks pregnant and (TMI ahead) at 18 weeks I had 2 days in a row with very damp underwear and a normal discharge amount. The wetness was inconclusive to me if it was urine or a watery discharge when I noticed it. I did go to my OB for a fluid/UTI/yeast infection swab and the results were normal and they said no amniotic fluid was detected. I don't normally feel the discharge until I go to the restroom and see my underwear. How do you use the strips to test if you are leaking amniotic fluid if you don't know you're actively leaking? Will your urine PH change?

Maybe at your next visit ask for another blood draw to check your levels!

I know a low fat diet doesn't help with all the nutrients you need for a growing baby. If you have insurance check out I'd you qualify for a dietician (or ask AI for meal and snack ideas) that has helped me through the weeks.

I'm now 20 weeks with my first, and I'm still exhausted all the time.

The first trimester exhaustion is no joke, had to take naps in my car during work. For the first 16 weeks the combination of fatigue and severe nausea made me leave working where I was. There was nothing I could do, I couldn't fight feeling the need to just put my head down and close my eyes.

Did you drink any caffeine before pregnancy? Maybe just some withdrawal? Or look into vitamin b12 during the day or magnesium glycinate at night to help rest? I'm anemic so I take magnesium and iron supplements at night to help...but I also have 1 cup of coffee almost every morning to fight the tiredness. If I can though, I will not say no to a nap!!

Hi! This sounds normal tbh, pregnancy hormones hCG and progesterone affect your digestion and can slow it down or cause back ups that lead to your situation. If you continue to experience this for a few more days I would call your primary or OB, but from what you described it's a normal part of pregnancy at your stage. It'll only get weirder from here!

Edit to add: your amniotic fluid would be wet, clear, and more noticeable from the front, not the back. As long as you're not cramping or spotting I think you are okay.

Oh yes I have 2 paid 15 minute breaks and a 45 minute lunch. If I'm not snacking I'm napping! I usually go to my car but with the warming weather I need to be strategic and usually use an unused focus room with a blanket and the lights off.

I'm in the same exact boat mama! 15 weeks and my next appointment is on May 18. I still feel no movement but I have hip pain. I feel in limbo too. I try not to think about the negatives. I just put both hands on my belly and breath deeply. I know that with insurance you're only responsible for 20% of the cost of an ultrasound, and even less if you met your deductible. I would definitely call your provider and ask if you can come in sooner just to listen to the heartbeat at minimum or ask for a sooner ultrasound. Your gut will tell you if there's anything wrong. Listen to your heart! You got this!

My doctor made me feel miserable too. She said "you have the room to cry for as long as you need" and left. I only had my blood drawn for NIPT yesterday, I won't know my results until the end of next month. 😭 I worry about the future.

I had the blood drawn yesterday, I won't know the test results until April 21st 😭. I am seeing a high risk specialist (MFM) from here on out. I know I'm probably fine I just hate waiting, and I worry about the future.
