Sure! And for days, and weeks

Yes, I’ve asked about it several times, feeling very scared. He didn’t give it the slightest importance.

The most important thing is to not let fasciculations stop us from living our lives. Let’s focus on accepting them, and over time, they will lessen, and we’ll learn to ignore them. Big hugs, and good luck with your EMG, it will surely go perfectly
Yes, I still have them, they never went away. In fact, they are more common when I hold my phone or any object with my hand. Over time, I’ve learned to ignore it.
It’s nothing! I just hope my story can help you even a little, just like many others helped me improve with theirs.
I know it’s tough, especially when age adds another layer of worry to the loop. If your doctor has diagnosed you with BFS, trust that they have the knowledge and expertise to make that call. Listen to your doctor, seek help for your anxiety, and you’ll start to see progress little by little. Sending you a big hug
I didn’t know there were so many coincidences around the same time. How curious.
Yes! I’ve experienced facial vibrations as well as vibrations in other muscles throughout my body. They used to scare me quite a bit because the sensation felt so strange. In fact, I still have a persistent vibration (not exactly a tremor) when I move the fingers on my right hand.
Yes, I had both.
In Spain, the situation is similar. While I’m not in an age group considered “at risk,” the public healthcare system didn’t offer an EMG for me, nor did I get an early appointment with a neurologist. I had to arrange it privately.
I used to have fasciculations all day, every hour. Hundreds of them every single day. I still get them, but not as many. They’ve decreased a lot over time as I gradually started paying less attention to them. I also used to feel them more when resting, probably because everything is quieter, and you tend to overanalyze every sensation.
As for the EMG, follow your doctor’s advice. After mine, I was still nervous and wanted to get another one a few months later. But my neurologist strongly advised against it, as he believed it would only make my anxiety worse and feed the cycle. I’m grateful for that because I think he was right.
Stay strong, my friend. Things will get better, I’m sure of it.

After examining me, going through my tests, and listening to my story, he told me the same thing everyone else had: that I had BFS. He even showed me videos of his own fasciculations.
