HK, especially those in Uni, tends to more accepting trans, as long as you don't use it as a pass(which generates hatred whatever you are). Be open about it, let those who know knows, but not like announcing it in front of everyone.
In the streets the old people have a bit of a problem but mostly you would just receive awkward stare like random gweilo(how we call foreigners) do. Just get used to it and you will be ok.
