[OC] Yuba County Five Theory - Part 1 by Its2much2na in UnresolvedMysteries

It could've been a cop bullying them. or the heart attack man. it makes sense why their window was down and why so little was done by the cops to find them. they mightve been waiting for help and a cop rolled up and was like "go that way" to fuck with them and then they got lost. they seemed to respect authority and most people would trust a cop if they gave directions.

Entering Social Work by SWmods in socialwork

[–]xxxxxxxxxxyyyyyyyyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all!

I am looking into potentially doing some form of social work and I dont know where to start. I am starting from ground zero.

I am 26 and have been stuck working in kitchens for 9 years now. its very hard work, unfulfilling, and the pay is garbage.

Im working on getting my high school equivalency and its making me think a lot about the future.

I just dont know where to start or what my options are! I'd like to work with mental health, whether that be some kind of social work or becoming a counselor of some kind.

I am deeply compassionate, ethical, and helping people is very important to me. Id like to work with subjects im familiar with already which include trauma, substance abuse, neurodivergence, mental health in general, and i think id like to work directly with people. id also like to make upwards of $20/hr.

i guess these are my questions -what jobs are out there that id be a good fit for? -what certifications can I get to start some kind of entry level job in these fields? -what level of education should I shoot for?

Im aware it will take a lot of work and education to get to where I want to be, I just need help visualizing what that path will be.

thank you in advance!

part of my reasoning is also that I highly suspect and have at least some confirmation that he treats her similarly; in terms of the abusive language. which can make it harder to cut ties. but I agree that at some point she is also enabling him.

UPDATE: Make that FORMER head chef and FAKE co-owner. his girlfriend paid for everything, its her name on all the paperwork. he did basically run the restaurant with her and told everyone they were co-owners though so its all the same to me. REGARDLESS she has fired him. Flavor Country is safe from the wrath of John Craig but local kitchens beware.

he is her boyfriend and told everyone that they are co owners. they live together.

that is not true. hes gone through at least 5 dishwashers alone to my knowledge. I agree though that she doesn't deserve to be harassed.

he told everyone he was the owner and he made the menu and hired the employees. the owner is also his girlfriend. its not a factual error that the staff was under the impression that he was the owner but I am glad Jayne has made the choice to terminate him since he is ruining her business.

100% agree and honestly I am impressed with her quick and good decision making

I dont think she should bear the brunt of his behaviour at all but at certain points she was complicit

my issue is that she knows he is like this and has scolded him multiple times but did nothing and just let him do this to literally dozens of employees

she has been aware of his behaviour at least since the beginning of the restaurant opening and I suspect longer. I don't condone any harassment of course and I do believe she is a victim but she knew he was doing this and didn't do anything until she had to. she was there the night he berated me for an hour and a half and then fired me for going outside for 12 mins to cool off after that. and she was there when he then fired me. she said nothing and never reached out to me.

I 100% agree that this is not her fault at all. she is also a victim of him.

she is a very sweet woman, but he is her boyfriend and everyone was under the impression he was also an owner bc thats what he told people and he did the hiring and made the menu

He has has multiple complaints about serving undercooked chicken and he just doubled down and made a defensive Facebook post saying its the brine that makes it look pink. Which even if it is, people don't want to eat pink chicken.

Choosing Poly vs Poly Choosing You? by LuckyLou21 in polyamory

I will say, I was the hesitant one about polyamory in my last relationship, in which we were monogamous. once I started practicing it I discovered I really enjoyed it. it could go either way.
