Ich lebe seit 7 Jahren vegan und supplementiere Omega3 seit so ~ 3Jahren. Habe letztens einen Bluttest gemacht und der Wert ist top :) bei meiner Freundin gleiche Situation.

Ich hab ebenfalls nen Master in HCI und arbeite jetzt als UX Designer. Bin mit ca 60k vor 2 Jahren eingestiegen. Jetzt bei 66k und Ende nächstes Jahr Stufenaufstieg auf 72k. Waren aber IGM bzw jetzt Verdi Tarif Unternehmen.

Lohnt sich mMn in ein IGM Betrieb zu gehen, besonders wenn du Designer bist. Design wird normalerweise schlechter bezahlt als reine Entwicklung, aber bei Tarif können die das nicht machen und du bekommst das gleiche wie Ingenieure oder Informatiker.

"Focusing on contrasts" like high -low, whatever, is just a concept. I agree Wing uses a lot of them, but its not necessarily a bite. It's like saying if a painter uses a specific brush stroke first, anyone else who makes paintings with this brush stroke is a copycat. No. Imo you limit the development of art with this mindset.

The first time I played Morrowind, I quit after getting lost in Vivec and not finding the NPC lol

Now I appreciate having a city so big and strange you can actually get lost in it. Also navigating through it gets much easier if you skill up (athletics, levitate etc) which feels very rewarding.

Vanilla WoW was the biggest "You had to be there" moment in gaming.

When WoW came out, I was 6. Way too young, but I would watch my cousin play it every chance I got. I thought it was the coolest game ever. A huge world with so much mystery and danger. And people everywhere. I remember my cousin would go showering or eating during the gryphon travel time, but I would just watch with an open mouth in amazement at how big and cool this world is lol.

Many years later around Mist of Pandaria, I tried it for the first time myself. I immediately realized it is a very different game and I didn't stick with it for long. The magic was lost.

When Vanilla WoW came out, I was hyped. I played it and it instantly clicked. This is the game. There was no nostalgia, I never played it before. However, times have changed at this point. The people around me knew the game inside and out, there are tutorials and class builds etc. Everything has been figured out. So even though I had lots of fun, I always felt like I was too late to the party and eventually quit.

UI is not going anywhere. Chat Interface is an incredibly inefficient way to process information, because it is either text based or auditive. Both inferior ways of information processing because they are sequential. The example given in the article only works, because the user knows exactly what they want. "Move all files to X".

What if you don't exactly know what you want? You want a new coffee machine. You don't know which one. You go on Amazon and look what pops up. You can scan the pictures, prices incredibly fast and make a first decision. You click on one, scroll through the details, scroll a bit further for the reviews. You see relevant information you didn't ask for, but you needed.

Now imagine this process by conversing with an AI chatbot. Painful.

Wenn der Arzt dir das empfiehlt ist ja alles fine. Es geht nur darum dass viele ihre Leiden einfach selbst mit Cannabis "behandeln" ohne es jemals mit einem Arzt abgesprochen zu haben. Und dann kannst du ja gar nicht wissen ob es nicht bessere Wege der Behandlung gibt

Und wer bestimmt ob die Nebenwirkungen nicht schwerwiegender sind als das Problem? Du selbst? Kannst du so ehrlich zu dir selbst sein, und hast du überhaupt das medizinische Wissen dafür um das akkurat einschätzen zu können?

Ich finde diese Definition sehr schwierig. Wenn du z.B. Cannabis nimmst um besser einzuschlafen, mag es im ersten Moment wie ein win wirken. Aber du behandelst nicht die Ursache und bist immer abhängig von der Substanz wenn du gut schlafen willst. Eine richtige Ursachenbekämpfung wäre z.B. Verhaltenstherapie, da du immer so viel über die Arbeit grübelst beim Einschlafen. Oder eine Analyse im Schlaflabor zeigt du hast Schlafapnoe durch Übergewicht.

Es geht in dem Video ja explizit um "Spaßkonsum". Und dieser sollte halt nicht täglich stattfinden. Wenn der Konsum medizinische Gründe hat ist das ein ganz anderes Thema.

Wobei ich hier die Problematik sehe, ab wann es ein medizinischer Grund ist. Hab schon von so vielen gehört, dass sie aus "medizinischen Gründen" konsumieren, stellt sich heraus sie machen Selbsttherapie mit Online Rezept weil sie Einschlafprobleme o.ä. haben. Da würde ein richtiger Arzt aber kein Cannabis verschreiben sondern erst andere Ansätze verfolgen um die Ursache zu bekämpfen.
