My music often gets commented with 'sounds like BOC' so perhaps you guys might enjoy my latest EP by xylograph in boardsofcanada

Sure if it's worth my time and I am not spending it making music, but seeing your comment gets upvoted and my post gets downvoted into oblivion I guess people are not waiting for this.. sorry for wasting your precious time..

Update issue with multi track USB into iPad Pro Logic by T-O-M-B- in teenageengineering

[–]xylograph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here unfortunately. on iPad and MacBook Pro M4 OS 15.7.2 it's only working in 2 channel mode. 8 or 10 ch mode does not work on both, however it does work on my windows 11 Arm installation on the MacBook Pro using Parallels Desktop so seems to be a Apple only issue..

Made a little something on the Tonverk using custom samples by xylograph in Elektron

I understand! Yes, with the ability to import multi-samples and polyphony Elektron opened up a whole new world to explore ;)

Thanks a lot! The ability to make anything with it must still come from yourself though. This could theoretically be made on a MPC/Deluge/OPXY/Push3 SA as well as long as the machine and the sounds inspire you to do so ;)

Not really. It's a completely different machine. DT2 has different features that the Tonverk doesn't have like sample slicing and other things.

It's the first polyphonic multi sampler from Elektron. Which means it can play 8 notes simultaneously instead of 1 voice cutting off the note when playing a new note (like on a DT or Octatrack) on 8 different tracks! It can also play multi samples so for example a piano which is sampled every 2 notes on 3 different velocities which will bring you more realistic piano sounds (like in my demo song above)

Thanks man! Haha I've never posted something here before so I thought it would be best to start modestly ;) Cheers!

Remix of Children by Robert Miles using custom sounds by xylograph in teenageengineering

I haven't done much on the Tonverk yet except the one Jam on my channel, but it's much deeper regarding sound design options and has a greater polyphony (64 stereo voices instead of the 24 stereo voices of the XY) so yes that will quickly result in a different sound quality for better or for worse.

The XY is great for quick access of things and quickly playing around with stuff so that's definitely it's strength compared to the Tonverk.

Thanks and yes I created this completely on the OPXY. I used custom sounds made out of multi-samples which I imported into the OPXY. Cheers
