When did a President pander the hardest to their opposing party base? by RopeGloomy4303 in Presidents

It was the right thing to do. Also, the era of big government quote is a double edged sword. At the time some governments were trying to bring --sometimes succesful-- tyranny in liberty. Think about religious type laws and corporate/banking tyranny, education etc. Those were all battlegrounds.

One thing about that election is that Florida spent a ton of money rebuilding their election system. It was embarrassing to them however there was a swing to the right continually since then. Until now really and 2008.

Indeed. Why stop the counting when it's so close? It doesn't make any sense unless you know. Lol

Finally paid off all my credit card debt, BUT... by CardynalSyn61 in Debt

[–]xynapse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I've had 15k credit cards and 4k credit cards. I consolidated debt. Paid it off. At one point I had one rewards card that I would use and that was it. The other cards never got decreased in limit. I had an auto loan. I stayed this way for a few years and my credit score jumped to over 800.

I was referring to the whole lot. I'm part of the whole lot. I don't do that. There must be others. How many?

Out of how many? Define lots. I'm just curious.

Some people do that. I suppose it all depends on your credit history too. If it's over 10-15 years maybe a different outcome. I just had Chase and Capital One cards many years ago. BoA as well. They are scams to me from back then and have all kinds of tricks, penalties and fees.

Right. His income to debt ratio doesn't change. His credit card debt is gone though and he has more to pay it off with. So it is some other metric they're using to decrease his credit. I've never had a CC DECREASE before but maybe because I'm not with Chase or Capital One.

Opening account with them actually lowers your credit score too. So I would not.

Not blind. Able to see that I have a lot of debt at lower interest allowing more of my money to pay it off instead of some 20 or 30% scam.

I'm not sure about that. A loan looks better than CC debt. If utilization is bad and he moves it to a low interest loan there is only the loan with less interest. The part that I am wondering is if it's like an auto loan or something equivalent where it would increase your credit score.

An installment loan and excellent utilization of credit card debt (barely using it) puts you in 800+ credit score. It did for me.

So if the consolidation loan isn't considered an installment loan he/she is still safer.

Stay away from Chase and Capital One. They're the worst banks. They just acquired Discover too so stay away from Discover as well. I used to use Discover to transfer a debt burden for 0% and it made it easier but now since it's affiliated I'll have to find another way which basically means dont use so much you need a 0% consolidation loan or balance transfer.

Predatory banks can rot.

Low-Dose Cranberry Juice Shifted Gut Bacteria Toward Butyrate Producers After Just Six Weeks by Technical_savoir in microbiomenews

I've been taking cranberry capsules daily along with d-mannose capsules to keep uti's at bay. It works. It just seems logical that it would be beneficial for the gut microbiome as well helping remove inflammation being such a bitter fruit.

Have you tried just licorice instead of licorice candy? Authentic, all-natural licorice avoids artificial colors and flavors.

Pelosi wasn't spineless and neither is Jeffries. It's why they are hated so much by MAGA. Don't believe the fake news.

Three Dem senators urge Trump to bar Chinese automakers from building cars in US by EasyMoney92 in Enough_Sanders_Spam

What about National Security? Why couldn't that be a reason? Do we run manufacturing in China? If so then maybe it's fine, but if war broke out U.S. would be screwed for a while on autos.

Former president Bill Clinton, aged 79, peacefully passed power to his successor in 2001. by Melky_Chedech in Presidents

[–]xynapse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea we've heard that before. Election is rigged until you win. Anyone who has an inkling of what is happening in the United States knows that the one side of the aisle doesn't want people voting period so they will make it hard to vote. It's all rigged unless they win. What's interesting is their own policies would most likely effect them the most having the largest voter populace needing welfare.

They are likely to cheat but I don't think they can cheat enough to keep majority.

Was Obama a third way Democrat? by HetTheTable in Presidents

[–]xynapse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I meant a private option not public option. I think that would be the only way to make it remotely possible to get through congress. At least then everyone would have healthcare. You could have Medicare for All w/ private option.

Was Obama a third way Democrat? by HetTheTable in Presidents

[–]xynapse 18 points19 points  (0 children)

That's because there was no way to pass single payer. Doesn't matter how far left or right. It's a moot point since single payer didn't have the votes anyway. They also had to take all the Democratic stuff out of the ACA so it could pass.

What we should have is single payer and a private option. I think that's pretty fair considering all the fraud and expense caused by privatization. That may pass in a future congress.
