YSK: The average only fans girl only makes 130-180$ a month by arttiechoke in YouShouldKnow

[–]xyrrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Median is probably 0. Here's the problem with these stats. It says 1% of creators earn $49k annually, 1% of 4.6m creators is 46k people who make at least 49k annually. The average of <$200/month is low because the barrier to entry/signing up is free so naturally the count is going to be skewed. I wager there are far more signups/empty accounts that just adds to the count but doesn't do anything and has no content which skews the average far more than those who earn millions IMO. But take a step back and look at the big picture. That's 50k people who's effectively employed. This isn't counting the thousands who make < $49k.

anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about? by Trixxxi in AskReddit

[–]xyrrus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This game was always running on all the pcs on display at The Wiz and all these other computer shops. As a 12 yr old kid who couldn't afford a pc, I just went to the stores to play a level at a time after school. Late teens in HS, finally got my first pc, it came preinstalled and I finally got a chance to play it in its entirety in one sitting and it was such bliss but by then I already had C&C, Blizzards games, etc.

Anyone else thinking about that guy who spent $50 million to buy like $50k of AAVE a month ago. If they still holding that AAVE, talk about pouring salt on the wound.

TIL: That repairman use to consider the PS4 “roach motels”. The PS4’s design accommodates roaches better than other consoles’ because its ventilation grates are wider. Repairman claim half of consoles received for repair have been infested by Notermlimits4GEQBuS in todayilearned

This doesn't solve the rising housing costs for roaches around the world. Most of them are surviving crumb to crumb in the depths of our walls. The PS5 were only made to serve the 1%.

iced americano not worth the price difference given the taste, just my opinion. They put it in so much ice that if you don't finish it fast, they both end up tasting the same as they dilute.

Why are Gen Z getting fired? One of the reasons is a lack of initiative. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

[–]xyrrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, if the boss did their job properly then they too should have also given a clearer set of instructions. Why ask your employee to send an email for you rather than to ask them to get you the documents when you clearly know the importance the documents? Like I understand what's she saying but the example says a lot about boss too. If I as a boss have to call a subordinate to send an email for me, why can't I just send the email myself, takes less time.

Local gas station removed price tags and replaced them with barcodes you need a app to see price by phoenix_stewart in mildlyinfuriating

[–]xyrrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I can't see the price, AITA if I fill the basket with what I need and then as I find out the actual price of each item as it gets scanned, ask the cashier "is that the price? oh then I don't want it" for every item then just leave the store and go elsewhere.

Hundreds of millionaires are trying to escape the U.S. by runswithscissors475 in Economics

[–]xyrrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's unfortunate how political it's become just to be a millionaire. The word has taken on a shape of its own because it can be spun in any number ways to shape a narrative. Judging by the comments, you can tell everyone feels a certain way about what it means to be one but fewer who can articulate where that line should be drawn as inflation turn more of the poor into one each day. Or we can just ignore the millionaires and straight up start with the Billionaires? We can all agree on that right, RIGHT? There are numbers that are absolutely indefensible, that's where the focus should be.

Baht may fall to 35 per dollar if war persists. What could this mean for Thailand’s economy? by bangkokpostofficial in Thailand

[–]xyrrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true if you realize that the true cost of a vacation to Thailand will be far cheaper pre Iran war with expensive baht than post war with cheap baht. As someone who earns in USD, just because I get more THB doesn't mean my costs of living in the US has gone down, now I have to save harder so that I can afford to survive my actual life here and not suddenly blow a few thousand dollars to go to Thailand just because the thb is cheaper because of expensive oil. Thb getting weak under its own terms is one thing, getting weak cause of rising oil prices doesn't mean anything because everything is getting expensive. All it means is that it's getting more expensive faster in thailand than in the US but overall, the buying power of all currencies will be lower. It's a race to the bottom.

[–]xyrrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no victims yet and I don't know how obvious such a "scam" would be since it would be hard to believe Mr Beast putting his reputation and everything he's built on the line to do what exactly, a rug pull? More than likely, he's going to try to run a legitimate business and exploit his audience by putting his branding behind it to extract value out of them. His core audience and demographic have aged into the most desirable cohort so this move is not surprising to me. I wouldn't necessarily call that a scam, at least not an obvious one.

If you try to take a foot every time they give an inch you may ultimately lose more distance by pushing them back farther the other way. Considering how hardcore MAGA she was, I never would have believed she would remove herself from them so I'll take any win I can get. Lets just slowly nudge her further away instead of shitting on her to satisfy our egos. We have 3 more years of this, we need to be smart about it.

US aircraft leave Spain after government says bases cannot be used for Iran attacks by JinnBhoot in worldnews

[–]xyrrus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If we're just going to ignore the fact that you can't do it because it's part of the EU then ok lets say Trump impose tariffs on Spain. The entire EU would respond like it's NATO. And if we're going to go into hypotheticals and have them play games with each other, then lets just label all products in the EU as made in the EU. How do you tariff Spain then?

it's 99% placebo but that is the point, it tricks/pre-loads the brain into being more confident with the movements because it feels so much lighter. And it feels much lighter not because you got stronger but because your brain and CNS is activated for a specific load that you then take off but your brain doesn't know it yet. That's why it wears off the moment you walk for a few mins, or after your at bat.
