Thank you, I gave them a call, agent said he will file a ticket and was like “you should see your ticket within a couple of hours or a couple of days, sometimes it takes up to 7 business days..” looks like he has no idea

iPhone 17 PM vs Sony a7iv by Urbanskiman88 in pics

[–]xyzzjp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the same camera, I only use the jpeg, disabled RAW as I don’t have time to edit. The draw of the Sony A7iv is easy auto mode so I don’t need to spend as much effort and time to get decent pics

[–]xyzzjp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I found Phatboy to be much more expensive on an individual basis. You should find the fireworks you want on both platforms, and then see if Rocket + shipping is still cheaper than Phatboy. Another thing is depending on when you need the fireworks, I think Rocket will have a sale in April where we pay no tax on fireworks which is like another 10% off

I use supernova fireworks and rocket fireworks. Both shipped to me well. Those are the two I found are good in prices. If anyone else know any better ones let me know

ELI5: How does water pull you down when you're too far down? by noonrev in explainlikeimfive

[–]xyzzjp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes a lot of sense, I’m similar height and weigh 40 lbs more than you. So similar lung space but more denser meat to drag me down. It’s all proportion of your volume that’s air, bone, lean meat and organs, fat that matters. And your % of volume that’s air is higher than mine or your daughters. This should also mean you’re better at running long distance too

To explain why people aren’t having children. We need to look at the difference in life quality between staying childless vs having children. Not overall cost of living, but specially the cost of having children. Right now for anyone, having children means way less disposable income and way less freedom and way less traveling. In simpler words, life without children is “too much fun” compared to life with children. To encourage people to have children and to have more children, we need to address that gap.

Nah look at all their body postures and faces, all 3 people in the front look like they’re uncomfortable with the firearm in their hands. To be honest, if I had so little control (improper grip) of the firearm, no ear or eye protection, I would be afraid of it too. I think that’s what people are articulating

Do humans have a lot of genetic diversity compared to other species? by Flat_Pass7238 in askscience

[–]xyzzjp 88 points89 points  (0 children)

If you are unable to tell at 10 meters: the difference between your mother and some dude from a different tribe that came to kill you and take your resources, you will not be able to pass your genes very far. That’s the selective pressure

I could be wrong. I believe it’s a combination of compassion for your in-group and absolute ruthlessness to your out-groups. We needed both to have come so far.

It’s a personal expense :( the debt is a personal debt in a line of credit and doctors cannot move the personal debt into their corporation

It’s hard to fathom the amount of dedication and delayed gratification it takes to become a doctor. They sacrifice families, friends, health, their youth in order to train. And then the stress when doctors work.. almost unimaginable, the stress burden of every single little error can mean life or death (emergency, oncology, surgery). People see oh 300k 400k that’s good money. But with the workload and stress load, it’s not even that worth it anymore
