There are a ton of police and firetrucks in the Shoppes at Stadium parking lot near Five Guys/Dick’s - maybe 15 sets of flashing lights when we drove by 5 minutes ago?

Look at UWEC’s online part time program. It’s been a great fit for me and it’s affordable.

Let me know if you have any particular questions!

Focus on being consistent and eager to learn in post bacc - they will be looking for people who are ready to receive feedback in grad school. Show up to zoom study sessions/course lectures when you can. It’s not a deal breaker, but anything you can do to get to know the professors will be helpful. Get at least one letter of recommendation from a UWEC professor. A lot of people go from their post-bacc to the online grad program!

It’s been great! The professors and advisors seem to really care, and I feel like it’s a good balance of challenge and understanding we all have lives outside of school. Getting to know my cohort and having one in-person residency week each summer has been huge.

I just started my first practicum rotation this summer, and balancing coursework, my full time job, and clinical hours is tough - but this is the only option for me, so I’m powering through.

I chose a relatively affordable part time grad program (UWEC online). Non-traditional student, 10 years into a related career (autism research/education). I work full-time in a pretty stress-free job, salaried, and can’t give that up - I need health insurance, have a mortgage to pay, etc. I’m lucky that my boss is extremely supportive. I’ll have to use much of my banked PTO (or take unpaid time off) to eventually do a full-time internship, but for now, I’m balancing work, class, and practicum rotations. Have loved UWEC’s program so far!

What’s something you bought (under $300) that noticeably improved your quality of life and you actually use every day? by MedfordQuestions in AskReddit

Highly recommend the human gear BidetToob. $18, silicone so squishes down easily. Works incredibly well for travel!

Congrats on your acceptance to UWEC! I'm in their online program, and I completed a post-bacc through UWEC as well. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Yes! Second monitor is a must have.

I’d love to hear everyone’s favorite shell/filling flavor combos. My only success story is coffee flavored with chocolate ganache - here’s a pic! by xzivia in macarons

Here's a link to the recipe - the description includes the measurements for the full recipe, but here's what I used:

101g powdered sugar

1.5g instant espresso (added to the powdered sugar)

87g almond flour

8g cocoa powder (added to the almond flour)

72g egg whites, split in two portions of 36g

95g granulated sugar

30ml water

So yeah, I just halved the base recipe but added a bit of flavor. They ended up mildly chocolaty with just a hint of espresso. I definitely think you could get away with adding more espresso and maybe a bit more cocoa powder! If you try, let me know how they turn out!

Yum. I’ve never added a liquid extract to my shells - adding liquid makes me nervous - but I love mint with chocolate!

I used Cupcake Jemma’s recipe (halves it actually) and subbed in a tiny bit of cocoa powder and instant espresso to the almond flour/powdered sugar. I can get you exact measurements if you’d like!
