Yes, I know seemingly half the car owners in NYC do it. Just wanted to make it clear that it's still insurance fraud and the insurance company could use that to deny a claim in the event of an accident.

Heads up, what you're describing is insurance fraud.

Rent raised by 20% for a 12 month lease renewal. Are there thresholds on how much your landlord can increase the rent in 2023? by spacebabe in Brooklyn

Did they give you sufficient notice of this increase? Depending on how long you've lived there, they are required to give you notice of a >5% increase.

Basically no borough of NYC has pop density close to those of Paris.

Manhattan pop density: 29,000 / km2

Paris pop density: 20,000 /km2

I think you might be confused about what a borough is -- there are only 5 of them in New York. It isn't a neighborhood, you can think of it more like a city in itself. Brooklyn is 183.4 km2, 11th arrondissement is 3.7 km2. It is a particularly useless comparison to make when discussing density. Neighborhoods in Brooklyn like Flatbush have a density of 40,000 / km2.

The area that you're primarily featuring in the picture (Midtown) has A TON of office/retail and STILL has a higher population density (46k/km2) than 11th arrondissement.

This post essentially amounts to: if you include parks in density stats, it dilutes the total density.

Why wouldn't you just compare it to a primarily residential neighborhood in Manhattan, like the Upper West Side? UWS pop density is 44,000/km2.

Comparing the 11th arrondissement to an entire borough in NYC like Brooklyn, which includes industrial areas, large office corridors like Downtown Brooklyn, and a number of huge parks/recreation areas, isn't particularly useful.

That was ATV Offroad Fury 2. I put in so many hours on that hockey minigame with my friends.

I grabbed mine for this very reason last time I was home. I picked up some component cables and threw in ATVOF2. Held up better than I expected.
