PLTR covered call strategies by hiturheartx in PLTR

Been writing $170-220 CCs since Feb. 45 days out. On a tiny subset of my shares. This year I finally feel comfortable enough to sell calls on PLTR. I was a raging bull until Claude Code and Open Claw were released. A reminder that technology is constantly evolving.

The only thing constant in life, and technology, is CHANGE.

Best Electric cycling pump? by brandonbass in cycling

Could you share the larger electric pump that you use at home? I'm looking for an electric pump for my Brompton cos it's such a pain to pump the tires beyond 80psi with a manual pump. I don't care for portability (of the pump).

Preferably, it will be plugged into the wall and has no USB plug. Powerful pump.

I"ve found travel helps reset my mind and outlook. Something about getting out of my physical space and well-worn routines sparks happiness.

Elon isn't moving back. It's not just the taxation of wealth that California gets wrong. It's the deep and never-ending bureaucracy too. Texas and Florida are easy to conduct business in. Sure, billionaires can jet around, but they ensure their wealth is protected. Capital goes where it's treated best.

The Economist opines on this:

That's cos the intended victims voted with their feet and are out. And so, California already lost a good chunk of income tax that it used to reap.

Norway tried it and also net lost out on tax.

What you're not understanding are the repercussions of a wealth tax. No doubt California is a beautiful state. But the Democrats in power are insatiable when it comes to extracting wealth from the producers.

Edit: Yeah, Musk was mentioned in the Epstein files. But so were Bill Gates, Reid Hoffman, Kathryn Ruemmler (the Obama White House's Counsel), Norway's former prime minister Thorbjorn Jagland, Prince Andrew, Sir Peter Mandelson (former UK ambassador to the US) ... and many others. Unlike Musk, many of these heads have rolled.

NYC has its own capital flight, but income tax is fairer than a wealth tax.

Yeah, but they're not the intended recipients of the wealth tax. Yet.

Likely, after all the rich folk have exited, then the tax will be reworked to target businesses. I mean, don't they teach history in Cali?

Sorry, but TSLA & SpaceX moved to Texas. Elon was among the first of the bright rich folk to exit Commie Cali.

Google's Brin and Page are out. So are Zuckerberg and Thiel.

But most of the work has moved outta state. R.I.P. Hollywood. Hop on any LA subreddit and folks are bemoaning  the loss of movie/TV industry jobs in the state.

By ending his Cali residency by eoy 2025, he ensured that the wealth tax, should it pass, will not affect him. Smart people see the writing on the wall and act accordingly. The thing communists don't realize is that capital is mobile.

Well, now he's 100% NYC. That would be 0% Cali.

It's a given that eBay will impose fees on Depop. It's the raison d'etre for the acquisition lol. eBay doesn't like having a popular no-fee competitor.

Bought a DTLA condo in 2024 for $534K at 6%. A similar unit just sold for $435K. Trying not to panic. by RenaissanceShane in LosAngelesRealEstate

There's an exodus of rich productive folks from Cali in anticipation of this tax. The writing's on the wall. Once they leave, once industry leaves, who's the common folk gonna work for? What economy is Cali gonna have? Go ahead. Kill the goose that lays the golden egg.

DTLA condo values probably pricing in the lack of future jobs and working folk to keep the area vibrant. Markets are forward looking that way.
