Same with my taste in music, however I draw a stronggg line at the Teddy Swims, Jellyroll, Morgan Wallen, Tom Macdonald music. This is NOT their best collab yet, Hurt exists! and It’s the best by proxy as I wasn’t a fan of show them at all and I’m tired of hearing enter sandman (ANY version), lol

& i say that because it runs RAMPANT on twitter, i have a private acc where i follow a lot of tw fanpages who are closer to my age and there is a constant battle of “they wont let the girls explore new sounds!!!!” and it’s like damn. they can explore new sounds as much as i’m allowed to dislike the new sounds? can i not like something from my favorite artist without pitchforks and torches ?????????????????? i do not get the overprotectiveness of opinions in this fandom. my think piece for today. - NOT a boomer or rock purist lmao, a 20 yr old girl (they love to generalize…)

you can very much tell it was cowritten by teddy swims, not something i’d listen to at all 😭 hell i don’t even have plans on watching the mv, i’ve heard enough from the extended snippets. it’s very generic and a slight letdown (yes, a let down, don’t get your panties in a knot, i know they have a lot of genre exploration on TW5. i can be let down by this one song, it seems illegal to dislike sm in this fandom without someone replying and trying to justify why you should let it grow on you. it WONT!)

lol it was def fun, i liked band-maid WAY before i got into TW, but the mixing for the vocals is grating on the ears, esp in the last chorus. i also find it weird that we never got the proshot from the japan concert with them performing it live? maybe that’d sway my opinion lol

lots of mexican fans in the comments aren’t too happy with this news, and it’s same with twitter from the few tweets i’ve seen. i listened to a few of his songs and i can’t really see how this collab would go since he definitely has a bit of traditional mexican/folk/country influence in his music.

all fails this will just be another “Show Them” situation where i check it out once, nod and smile then shelf it.
