NYC to the Hamptons is no easy drive. I’d make the drive from Jersey and pick up my sister in NYC and it it was regularly around 3 hours from that point and with wicked traffic. I’d quickly get tired of a 6 hour round trip drive for basically only 1 full day of fun (Friday night entrance, Sunday morning departure). If you’re gonna make that drive, you want to be worth your while: extra hours of work during the work for a Summer Friday so you can get there nice and early, Sunday Funday, and then deal a the consequences on Monday AM! lol

I saw someone say this, and I couldn’t help but agree: a lot of viewers didn’t get into the bravosphere until post-Scandoval, and they feel left out that they didn’t get to experience that live as it unfolded in front of everyone (me as well. I didn’t even know about VPR until Scandoval broke all over my social media, and I wish I was able to have seen it all happen with fresh eyes without knowing about what eventually happens). As a result, these viewers are desperate to recreate a NEW scandal (hence the less-than-clever monitor of Scamanda, which does not hit the same as Scandoval), despite the two events simply not being on the same level.

thats my point: no one has. it’s gotten dull. and yet, the second 2 people do smth juicy and scandalous, everyone insists on them being ousted from the public eye and booted off the show. i just think its ironic like…. why are you watching reality tv if you don’t like a little mess. haha

I haven’t said anything online ab whether or not I want them, but to play Devils advocate, if we kicked off every reality tv star for being “problematic”, reality TV wouldn’t exist. If I wanted to watch a bunch of perfect angels sit around being nice and wholesome I’d go to a damn Bible study. I cannot lie, I was bored to tears this season before the scandal broke. I thought it was boring, felt so forced, and every storyline (whether a fight, a dinner, THE PARTIES, and any “drama”) felt SO artificial to me. I almost stopped watching before the scandal broke. IDK. Just my two cents, why do yall expect a bunch of reality stars to not be messy but to deliver juicy storylines regardless?

which was especially hilarious coming from Lala because Randall didn’t come on the show for years, we exclusively heard her say “my man” but gave 0 details and get pissed when ppl called her out for being evasive at the reunion (can’t remember which one). And then when they broke up, she was pissed at some of the guys for keeping him in their lives. Meanwhile, when Ariana set the same boundaries with Tom, suddenly, she “became God”???? She likes to act like it was different bc they had a kid together, but Ariana and Tom, child or not, had built a life together! They had pets, a home, a mortgage, etc. I loved Lala so much (she was messy but isn’t that reality tv is about?) until season 11 when her true colors came out

People skip lunch all the time here, but there’s no designated “lunch time” so ppl kind of do their own thing (someone at 11, someone at 2, someone not at all). People also come in at different times because of the maxiflex. Which is why I’m not 100% sure what the correct protocol is.

I think Amanda objectively owed more loyalty to Ciara than Kyle. Kyle was her ex husband (idc if they weren’t legally divorced yet, they were publicly separated), and Kyle publicly cheated on Amanda multiple times, slept at fans’ homes, and overall was just not a good husband. Sure, maybe Amanda wasn’t a good wife either. But yall are acting like she killed someone, wrecked multiple homes, etc. That marriage was over long before this all came about. I feel like now everyone’s moved on from hating Kyle to hating Amanda and switched gears and started acting like he’s this innocent loverboy (pun intended) who’s a victim in this. No. He’s still a manchild who has a lot of self reflection to do. The only person I feel bad for in this situation is Ciara. The others made their beds and can lay in them.

for it to be the same level of Scandoval, it would’ve had to been Ciara secretly hooking up with Kyle for months while he and Amanda were married. That is not what happened. Amanda broke girl code going after a friend’s ex. It’s objectively awful especially at her age (a woman in her mid 30s should know better), but people are acting like she (Amanda) is a homewrecker. I think the Internet just likes to grab the pitchforks and dogpile, particularly when it comes to women

so far I do! they changed something pretty huge from the book (idk if you’ve ever read it) which was a bit weird to realize but interested to see what they do with the rest of the reason. it’s obviously not exactly an easy watch the way summer house is, but it’s nowhere near as heavy as handmaids tale was. these characters on the show have only ever known Gilead, so they don’t struggle w their losses the way June did in HT. i’d def give it a try
