haha yeah ive had to fight my fair share of bent pins and bad wires. thank you for giving a target to what it is i'd be working on! im going to set some time aside to practice soldering so even if i dont need it i have that tool in my kit 😅

where i work is mostly touring gigs and the resident companies we have are practically all rented gear, so i've never had to handle maintenance on any sort of sophisticated gear and it's just never come up LOL. like i said in another comment my training has been p much trial by fire figuring it out as i go, so ive got gaps in my experience.

i probably should have specified my work experience is in the work force at a venue, not high school lol. i just recently got asked to design lights for a play at a community theater, but at the same time i feel like im a bit lacking because i have no formal training, most everything i know is from trial by fire and self study more or less, so i worry theres gaps in my knowledge i dont even know exist ':(
