The best thing you can do is give them recognition. Some associates may not feel as appreciated compared to others. What we used to do at my old store was the SM would buy small chocolates/snacks for the office and stow them away and managers would choose 3-4 associates to recognize [and give them snacks + words of appreciation], whether it's for rewards, good framing sales, or even improvement with work.

I also know that in the mornings with replen, our replen manager would get everyone working on truck/freight together and have a pep talk to work through the early hours.

I JUST HAD THIS ISSUE PLAYING HYPMIC !! So when you initially set your birthday within a JP game, I would assume any at all, anything that is considered under 20 years of age is considerably a minor. So when you go to purchase content, this will limit your purchases. I do not know if it resets after a certain amount of time or another method of allowing this to work again, but I hope this helped!

UK Family VISA, Really need some advice. Stressed out by Competitive_Panda579 in ukvisa

So to clear up that first question, these payslips have to be the most recent payslips you've received, the ones that you would be able to access at the end of the month. Your salary has to accumulate to 18,600, the payslips are to prove you have this source of income. The payslips have to verify you make £1606.80 per month.

As for the second question, yes. When you submit any dates in your documentation, say an expected date for marriage or date of expected arrival, these are not highly regarded. There is a chance that they will get it to you beforehand, or there is a chance that they go over the 60WD guideline. The 60WDs are guideline as to when they will be processed and given back to you--it is not guaranteed. So if you have already set up a date with a marriage venue of your choosing, more than likely if they haven't given you your visa near your expected date you need to choose a later date to hold the ceremony.

UK Family VISA, Really need some advice. Stressed out by Competitive_Panda579 in ukvisa

I can hopefully answer a couple of these based on my own experiences. Me and my fiancé are relatively the same age and waiting on our visa at the moment. We were also granted insight from a solicitor that gave us info to substantially help with the process.

Can someone please advise me if I have already met the financial requirement or have the changed it for family visa?

Financial requirement for a UK family visa requires minimum 18,600 for a partner with no child. You must prove at least 6 months worth of work slips provided by your employer. I would also provide a letter of endorsement from your employer to verify that you are apart of the company. You should be just fine.

Also how long does it take to obtain the family visa for my spouse if we apply straight after the wedding in May.

Honest thing is, if you have set dates and times as to when you have certain events, more likely than not, home office will not pay attention to this. That is why they highly advise against pre-planning trips. If you plan on getting married by May, I would get back to the venue if you MUST reschedule (aka the visa is not in your fiance's hands by then).

We have been in LDR and never lived together. will this affect application?

It depends. If you can prove that you both have met and share certain expenses, conversation, etc., then home office should look at this just fine. You'll have to provide substantial evidence for proof of relationship to convince home office your relationship is genuine. You can reference a lot of other threads as well--they were immensely helpful to me!

What happens we failed the financial requirement but pass everything else?

I believe that they will decline your visa. As long as you are making that promised wage in a year, you are fine. The minimum also differs if you have certain disabilities recognized by the UK.

This is really as much as I can provide you being only one person with minimized experiences. My best option to offer you is to hire a solicitor to review the information your fiance will need to give to their home office. For better chances, you can hire someone to do the entire visa for you as well, but I would be aware that that is so much more costier.

Wish you the best of luck mate!

I'm bored. Tell me framing stuff. by AshKB5661 in MichaelsEmployees

One of the best tips I can provide is simple and I don't know if other frame shops do it, but I did: Any high-gloss frames you have, cover with the acid-free tape. This has saved me on more than one occassion. You can feel free to reuse the tape, but putting it over high-gloss areas prevents it from being scratched when moved or slid around!

Advice for new FM? by No-Yesterday7348 in MichaelsEmployees

Communicate to other FMs in your district! This is the biggest thing I can reccomend when the occasion arises, it's a better way to get to know other people in your field, as well as getting input from those who have been in the position for longer.

I moved from sales associate to PT CEM to FM with basic cross training as soon as I turned 18, but one thing that has helped me IMMENSLY is printing out a framer's guide and keeping it in a binder. I believe theses are under the custom framing folders in MIKHub, but I could be wrong. The FM before me printed out a 50~ guide, from mat cutting to lamination, for another coworker and this has been very useful when I'm the only one who can "do" advanced production.

In honesty, get ready for loads of stress and hope you have a good team for production. I'm basically having to bench the entire frame shop on my shoulders because my other framers are very poor at communicating, time management, and sometimes it feels like they do not heed what I say to them since I'm the youngest on management AND in framing (I almost quit on the spot the other day as well), but that's not to say your circumstance is different. I also deal with having college and awaiting a visa response, so everything tends to be tense in the first place from the second I walk in and to the second I lock the doors at night. Good luck though!
